Tulleys Escape Rooms & Games: Mutiny

Mutiny is my favourite game from the 50 I have played.  Its truly amazing.  Loved it all.  Just like going into the Aztec zone on the Crystal Maze!  Wish Tulleys did more like this one rather than the overly complicated newer ones which are nowhere near as good.

The greatest transition between rooms in a game I've ever played. Really enjoyed the variety of puzzles, the set looked awesome and everything flowed perfectly. Minor gripe with no torches given for sections in darker light so made locks hard to see. Otherwise excellent!

A wonderfully themed adventure with some magical wow moments and a stunning build. Great range of puzzles with something for everyone to do and some lovely transitions. A fabulous room for families as well as lovers of the pirate genre. 

Great room, loads to do, but is tough to finish as a 2. We didn't really waste much time making errors or getting stuck but didn't quite make it. It did get a bit frustrating at times, as we didn't get the same kind of nudge from the GM as I've been used to in the past, especially on a couple of occasions where we'd essentially figured out all the component parts of a puzzle but hadn't located where to input the solution. I would still recommend it, but given our experience level, mid-30s in terms of number of games completed, wish I had done the room with more players.

What can I say, Tulleys are just awesome.

Fantastic from start to finish. The puzzles included both physical and mental problem-solving, and included mechanisms and styles that we simply hadn't seen elsewhere. The game unfolded with more and more spectacular spaces with amazing set design. Only wish Tulleys was closer to us so that we could do all their other rooms!

After the miserable failure of Nethercott Manor we decided to try another Tulley’s game.  We unlocked and completed with good time left. It was another great room with lots of puzzles and rooms. 

Nicely done in terms of set dressing for a common theme; some fun puzzles and would recommend playing any of the Tulley's games at the end of the day - they are all good quality. A couple of puzzles fairly common to escape rooms but enough to work on ultimately. Unfortunately due to local flooding we arrived late and could only play 30 minutes of the room but managed to do the majority of the puzzles so perhaps a touch easier than their other (fiendish as a 2!) rooms 

My favourite thus far! A must.

Great fun, great set, good for a beginner team. Good mix of types of puzzle. Highly recommended!

A couple of really nice surprises in different rooms with puzzles suitable for everyone.

This was the first room we played at Tulleys and I'd say the easier of the 5. Themeing was great - and a fab surprise at one point too (No spoiler) plenty to keep us both busy, again divide and conquer because of the volume of things to do but nothing that wasn't acheiveable. 

Big rooms, gorgeous theming, fairly easy for an experienced group, we took a leaderboard spot whilst trying to take our time and enjoy the scenery. Lovely flow through the whole room. Very hands-on with lots for everyone to do. Great fun, family-friendly and well worth a visit!

Classic escape and adventure together. All Tulleys rooms are hard, and doing all of them day was very ambitious, but it was a fantastic experience and highly recommended.

Our hosts for all the games were Tyler, Ed and Mi. They were all friendly and went above and beyond to make our day memorable and fun.

If you enjoy the adventure aspect to escape rooms, I recommend this one. It needs a high degree of cooperation, I was also finding sand in my pockets for days!

Fantastic room! Absolutely packed with puzzles and the adrenaline was p-um-ping! It was well balanced with individual and group tasks and had a variety of puzzle types so it catered to everyone - probably a medium to hard difficulty. Set design was really impressive and it felt very immersive. Definitely one of our favourite ever rooms! Adam was an absolutely brilliant host too and we enjoyed it so much we're already planning our next trip to Tulley's 🙂

Puzzles were all great, nothing too hard, but not too easy either - lots of them too!

We did this room as a team of two and I’d say it was the perfect difficulty for us as we finished the room in roughly 54 minutes.

Excellent hosting too!

Would definitely recommend this room and will 100% be going back to try their others.

This was an incredible game! So immersive - highly recommend!

Some really good puzzles, one room really looked amazing but wish there was more to do inside it - feel like it had more potential! Lots of searching to be able to complete puzzles, we did feel slightly over clued.

A very nice room as expected from Tulley’s. Some clever and original puzzles. Sadly didn’t quite escape. Got a bit stuck on the final puzzle. Another 2 minutes we would have cracked it!  Worth a visit if you are in the area. 

Really enjoyed this room! A lot to do but enjoyed the non linear nature which meant even though there was only 2 of us we could get it all done. The mix of puzzles, magnets, locks etc was spot on. 

This is a fabulously solid, logical room with superb decor and the classic Tulley's attention to detail. There is a great variation of puzzles and all of them are rational, enjoyable puzzles with a strong piratical theme.

Mutiny was a fun room, there's certainly a lot to do and the rooms are superb. The only downside is the amount of padlocks, almost every puzzle includes a padlock of some description, there are also padlocks for the room resetting which are all a certain colour and you are told to ignore, but in the heat of the moment you can find yourself wasting seconds trying to input a code into a non game piece. 

There is one puzzle in particular where half is available very early on, but you don't get to access the other half until much later, meaning you can also waste time trying to interpret the only bit you can see and trying that incorrect value in one of the many padlocks. 

The puzzles themselves were a good mix of physical and mental. Sometimes it was easier to brute force the last digit of a padlock instead of solving it, and we were able to completely skip a part by doing this, however, if we hadn't we would have failed. 

Overall a good room, great theme and immersive, we certainly felt like we had worked for the whole hour. 

The set design / theming and puzzles were absolutely fantastic, but there was LOTS to do and a very non-linear style which left us (team of two) feeling quite demotivated. I really enjoyed the physical elements to this game.  Would recommend to bigger experienced groups or those who don't mind asking for clues.
