A decent effort at theming the room, though a background track of appropriate music/sound effects would have added to the immersion. Room contained a range of puzzle types, though linear in flow. Unfortunately a reset error of a key being left in a padlock detracted from the experience. 

Venue staff were very friendly. The room had some original elements, but there wasn't a clear indication of "this happened because you completed that puzzle" meaning we didn't know how something had unlocked or whether the solution we tried was actually correct. 

Staff at the venue were great, unfortunately a couple of elements of a puzzle had the wrong/missing information which meant we had to guess the solution. Easy enough to fix but dissapointimg it hadn't been noticed.

Original idea and clearly story driven, but it didn't "click" for us so we found it frustrating - especially given all the hype and the good experience with Mad. 

An experience rather than an escape room. There's a few puzzles scattered amongst various videos and audio clips featuring the cast of the BBC Sherlock show.

If you're expecting an escape room, you'll be disappointed and feeling overcharged. If you're a fan of Sherlock first and puzzles second, you'll probably enjoy it. 

The immersion starts from the end of the briefing with a unique entry to the room. A good level of creepiness throughout keeps up the tension. 

Lots of originality in an expansive experience. Some of the audio could be a bit clearer but a text version is shown in case you miss anything. Not easy, but easily the best of the 3 rooms we played. 

Original puzzles, but the controls of one puzzle early in the game didn't work properly and one late in the game seemed to complete without us working out how to do it. 

Similar mechanic to Curio, light on puzzles, heavy on video's you have to watch to move the story along

The next instalment of the Chapelgate Mysteries is every bit as good as the first. The set is great with pieces of puzzles cleverly hidden in plain sight. Plenty of puzzles to keep even the most puzzle hungry Escapers happy. Hosting is brilliant and we could have happily chatted for hours.
