This venue is aimed at being something for the community and is reflected in the price. Sadly, even the price wasn't enough to make this an enjoyable experience. 

The online story did not match the objective when entering the room. In the room, we were told we needed to open a door and pull a lever after releasing a wrench. Sadly, there was no need for a wrench as you could easily just undo the the bolts by hand and the lever was in fact  an old chest of drawers with a piece of 2x4 screwed in the top. 

Now, I don't have a problem with a room on a budget... when it's done well. Budget and passion can create something alright for beginners, but I'm disappointed to say that if this was my first escape room experience, I probably wouldn't play another. 

Add fifty quid and a bit of passion and this room could have possibly been made from a 1 star to a 3 star

Another fantastic game from the lads at escape nation. 

Loads of puzzles to be getting on with, all that are perfectly logical if you stop overthinking. 

The game is called temple of shadows but it didn’t really feel like being in a temple which is the only reason not for the final star

This is not the escapism usual level of rooms. 

So many of the puzzles were ambiguous. Where do you stand for this? What order does it go? What angle do you look from for this?

The host was really defensive when I raised it at the end of the game. Such a shame because escapism usually produce such high quality games. You can tell they’ve grown because they’ve lost their roots 

Loads of puzzles to do that kept us busy for loads of the time.

We were told not to open a flap. But there were quite a few things that could have been so wasted loads of time not lifting something if we should have. Bad design choice if that’s the case 

Another absolutely amazing game from the amazing Elaine and Mike. 

There is so much to do in this room that we didn't stop until the very end. Some very clever puzzles. Perfect signposting and a very entertaining "mid season show" 😜

Cannot recommend them highly enough, some truly amazing work

This truly is a one of a kind game. 

Utilising every sense in your body other than sight is a unique concept and one that was executed very well. Communication is the key to this game.

The puzzles were all perfectly logical, but the challenge comes when you can't see a single thing and you have to variegate your way around in the pitch black. I would highly recommend trying this experience

Loved the theming of this room and the physicality of some of the puzzles. 

Unfortunately, some broken props/buttons and a solution that doesn’t fit the criteria we let downs 

In terms of puzzle quantity, don’t expect to find a lot to do in this room, however some puzzles were great fun to do. 

Aeastethically very good and in keeping with all Escapologics other games 

Such potential to be an amazing room, however so many let downs with a poor ending rated this down 

With a seemingly great start (not for the claustrophobic) sadly it was all downhill with illogic puzzles and searching. 

The ending was a bit of a letdown 

Had an absolute blast here. There is so much to do in this room that none of us stopped throughout the whole game. 

The set design was incredible and gave some incredible immersion. 

Our host made it even more memorable and a total pleasure

Another great game by the guys at Escapism. All the puzzles were perfectly logical, some very clever puzzles involved, great interactivity and flow

One of our fa our it’s rooms we have played due to the mechanics of the room.

This isn’t a spoiler as you’re too in the briefing, however this room does not require you to exit as quickly as possible, although that certainly helps, however your mission is to collect as much gold as possible, and certain items will give you multipliers. 

There is a fair bit to do in this room, it’s rather dark and there’s the impending sense of urgency to collect as much as possible. 

Some great puzzles and a rather physical room too. We loved it… but as a word of warning… wear old clothes. You will get dirty in the mine

A very original concept where you’re put inside the mind of the professor. 

I do feel that the room lacked some signposting so hints were given frequently to guide us in the right direction. Somethings we would have had no idea about if we werent guided in the right direction. Not through inexperience, but through the design of the room.

That being said, it was an original concept with some good elements so give it a go

WOW.

This game is something else. Yet again, the Escapologic team have created something truly magical. 

From start to finish the immersion was phenomenal. 

My only issue is I now don’t know if this or curio is my favourite room. 

A true masterpiece that will have you occupying every inch of the room and will keep you going for sure.

Another great room by Cave Escapes. 

Loads of things to do, very story driven and immersive. 

This room will be a challenge for most so I advise taking as many people as possible. 

Loads of different elements and a great little touch of humour and something I haven’t seen before.

A great game overall. 

Epic setting, amazing GM, awesome puzzles, brilliant theming and a flow that just worked. 

This truly is a game not to be missed

If you’re an experienced player I wouldn’t recommend. 

The reception area looked like a building site for a start. All the materials and power tools being used for a future game, hopefully one we won’t be playing 

The actual room started off in something that cannot be described, part office space, part Grecian ruins and part building yard. No sign posting, broken puzzles, feint markings, unfinished decor… I shan’t continue. 

As for puzzles, there is nothing to say. They are on theme and for the most part had no moments that made us go “a-ha”

At the end, the owner asked for feedback but was extremely rude and confrontational, so much so that we ran up the stairs and exited the building. After playing close to 100 rooms, this has easily gone to the bottom and our whole team will endeavour to erase e experience from our memories. 

Truly disappointed 

The latest game to be launched at Clue HQ and it’s safe to say it’s brilliant. 

This has quickly become my fav game at CLUE HQ. 

With some clever technology, great story and a few things I’ve not seen before, this room adds to a great lineup of games. 

There is a lot to do in this room so don’t be fooled by the starting space. It was frantic and we left sweating. Although fairly linear, there seemed to be something for everyone to do and I don’t feel anyone was standing around.
