As a child Henry toured the world with his family's famous magic show, House Of Illusion.
Henry would wait patiently backstage during the performances just wishing for the day he would be allowed to take his place in the limelight. Unfortunately, Henry's parents didn't think he was good enough to be included in the show.
Henry grew up bitter and disillusioned with the world, the anger and resentment he felt towards his family intensified and then...... they disappeared!
Henry's Mother, Father, Girlfriend, his Aunt and Uncle and several of the show's performers, staff and suppliers to the theatre just vanished. Henry claims they have all gone abroad to continue the show without him and the theatre has been signed over to him.
We need you time detectives to go in and find out what really happened to them. You’ll need to get into the theatre and have a good look around without arousing Henry’s suspicions. Find everything you need to convince Henry you’re magic show performers, put on a good show and Henry will probably trust you to wander the theatre freely so you can complete your investigations.
Be warned, Henry is short tempered and impatient, don’t blow your cover whatever you do!

Another outstanding room with some funny interactive bits, we loved it! ♥
EscapeQuest is one of our favourite escape room sites ever. This room was great. Once you have completed it, the time is not wasted as there is the opportunity to collect murder confessions for extra points. The set is amazing and the host is a very lovely escape room enthusiast who is very friendly.
This game certainly had the wow factor when entering a massive set so cleverly designed to allow other games to be played in the same setup with some interesting changes to the story and layout etc. A good variety of puzzles and fun aspects. I would certainly suggest everyone tries it and if they are hooked like us will want to do all the games here. I would choose more tags if I could as it was also beautiful, clever, magical, funny with great hosting.
We had a brilliant time playing this room! The set design was amazing - you can tell a LOT of time has been put into it - it had a great variety of puzzles and locks and the whole narrative was so immersive and fun! Especially loved the magic show element and the hosts were so lovely. Can’t wait for the next instalment!
Another absolutely amazing game from the amazing Elaine and Mike.
There is so much to do in this room that we didn't stop until the very end. Some very clever puzzles. Perfect signposting and a very entertaining "mid season show" 😜

Chaplegate Mysteries returned with its third instalment - House of Illusion. Overall a very successful room and is buckets of fun. Puzzles are very intuitive and definitely a challenge for enthusiasts. Theming and immersion is spectacular, although I felt a certain je ne sais quoi was missing compared to their other two experiences. Regardless, support this incredible business as this is not one to miss!

Another absolute winner at this superb establishment. This game combines so many of the best bits of every other escape room and ties them together in a way that creates an immersive puzzle-fest that matches style with substance.
Everything about Escape Quest screams quality, from the beautiful fixtures and fittings to the puzzles themselves. Elaine and Mike put such thought and care into everything and those who have done the other games here won't be disappointed; Henry Fortune absolutely matches up to the quality of Mr Copplestone and Percy Pendleton
When it comes to escape rooms, this is the ultimate power hour. Superb.
Absolutely brilliant game. The set design was beautiful, the story was so fun, and there was loads to do! The thought that went into every single puzzle was just brilliant. There's so much attention to detail, it's clearly made by people who love escape rooms and know how to make good ones. I can't describe how impressive the room was, it felt like I really had travelled back in time! Awe-inspiring.
The host made it even more magical by being so welcoming. Overall an absolutely fantastic experience.
