LockHouse Escape Games: The Mayan Temple

We had a few problems with this room which detracted from our experience:

- puzzles solved accidentally just by touching them and then we had no idea they were solved

- lights not working which were meant to signpost us to puzzles to do and puzzles being complete

- room opening accidentally meaning we were exploring a dark space for a few minutes when we weren’t meant to be in there

- too dark

- too loud at a point when it was important to be able to hear each other

- a puzzle that was probably part of the game in the past, no longer being relevant but still in place 

Good things - friendly hosting, dramatic scenery 

Loved the immersive nature of this room, and the fact that there was lots to do testing a range of skills. We will definitely be back to Lockhouse.

A fabulous and exciting escape room with lots and lots to explore. A fun range of puzzles and great theming throughout.

Always love lockhouse games rooms they are like a warm hot chocolate on a cold winters day. there new rooms are something that you want to do time and time again. There new rooms are all built in house over 2 to 3 with puzzle you wont find anywhere else and will want to come back to even after escaping 

Large room, well decorated, funny staff, plenty for everyone to do without anyone individually missing much. One of the best rooms we've done so far.

Some puzzles are logic-based while others are more physical. Everyone must climb one ladder.

Criticisms: one monkey puzzle was somewhat unintuitive. The room got EXTREMELY hot and humid. After the post-game photo, we were just kind of ignored, no "see you later guys, take care, hope to see you again!" or anything - a friend visited on a different day and told me they had the same experience.

Great escapee room for 4 people, felt like there was enough for everyone to do

Beautiful detail in the set and the amount of effort put into this room was very noticeable. The room is on two levels so unfortunately not accessible for anyone with mobility problems but a really fun room with no padlocks which made it more in theme with the temple story. If in the area I would highly recommend.  

Amazing, beautiful design with some great tech. Lots of elements we've not seen before!
