Cluetopia Clacton: Chaos at Calamity Mine

Great concept and puzzles to go with it. The majority of the game is spent split up which is great for communication puzzles but also felt like it went on a bit too long. As always with Cluetopia, lots of fun and quirky elements to discover too. 

Enjoyed the variety of puzzles in this room, though the format and scope made it quite intense for us. Quite challenging in places but nothing illogical, so definitely made us feel like we earned our escape! 

Mixed feelings from this room. In general, the room was fine. I feel that some of the decor/theming could have had a bit more effort put into it to make it feel more immersive. A couple of puzzles seemed a bit odd and somewhat ‘thrown in’. Some stronger elements to the room but a couple of missed opportunities (e.g. the ending would benefit from simple sound effects as it just sort of ended). I see potential with this room as some of the puzzles have creative elements. Our GM was lovely and attentive. 

This was a very tricky room. But really loved the theme. 

We like Cluetopia rooms, really enjoyed the theming for this one. It was a little trickier in places and I’d say may be not to be tackled as a complete beginner as even I stood and looked round a bit overwhelmed for the first few minutes wondering where to start!

Definitely a room that needs good communication between your team members.
