This was the first immersion escape game I'd played. A little unsure about the dress code being necessary but I don't think its a requirement so each to their own choice. The game was fun, some great new challenges I'd not faced before. Do not show up early, you get let it at your time slot. If you need the toilet go before you arrive at the venue because theres no chance of using their toilet until towards the end of the room.
The room is great fun, definitely one of my favourites and I've played a lot.
Genuinely a fantastic room! Great hosting, fun elements, gone straight into my top 5!!
Sehr witziger Raum, cooles Acting und ein paar überraschende Effekte machen ihn zu einem tollen Erlebnis. Wir haben viel gelacht.
An absolute hoot from start to finish, this is one of those games where you get out what you put in!
The set is absolutely superb and really is second to none, the puzzles are delightful and varied and our GM - Carlos - hit that sweet spot of being flamboyant and daft, yet not overbearing. There are some truly incredible set-pieces in here and one in particular that - nearly 350 rooms into our escape room careers - was something completely new.
The whole room was joyous, daft, beautifully curated and the perfect antidote to all of those troubles we leave behind us when we enter an escape room.
What a hilarious room! I knew this would be a different experience and it definitely delivered. We found the beginning to be slow with a couple of the puzzles taking extra jumps. The game picked up the pace and the puzzles began to make more sense. It’s truly a unique experience and one you won’t forget.
Be aware, if you are playing with less bubbly people or introverts (like me) then there may be times where you feel put on the spot!

It’s rare to see an escape room with a truly unique theme, but there’s no question that Tao qualifies. Both the venue frontage and the website (at least, the Spanish and Catalan versions) simulate a massage parlour well enough that they apparently get regular enquiries from people looking for massage not escape games.
At the outset you could indeed be forgiven for wondering exactly what type of entertainment to expect, as you’re invited to change into kimono-style garments. It’s up to the playe...
If there’s one thing you should take from this review, it’s the following: kimonos are freaking comfortable. Seriously. I can’t enjoy jeans anymore. Heiner had reached the his 1000th escape room, and to celebrate, we took him go a Japanese massage center.
We were welcomed at the door, switched to kimonos (see first sentence), and our relaxing experience begun.
I can’t say too much about the experience, but I will say that it is one of the happiest rooms I’ve played. I’ve smiled from the first second to the last, laughed a lot, and really enjoyed it all.
We had a great time at our Tao Massage, and if the copy in Barcelona is similar, I can see why it’s such a popular and highly rated game there.
