A really beautiful, high tech room with a great atmosphere, and phenomenal hosting. The team at The Room are absolutely brilliant, so committed to their jobs and always helpful, in-character and willing to chat and show us around at the end.
I felt a few puzzles let it down a bit, in terms of being both fairly standard, and perhaps needing some better sign posting. Still a 4/5 experience though because with an atmosphere like that, how can it be less.
For accessibility though, it won’t be up your ally if you aren’t up for large amounts of tight crawl spaces, and the dark. They aren’t kidding about that warning.
A authentic escape room experience. Loved the start, intro. The room is immaculate and immersive. The puzzles all seem to make sense and are fairly logical. No real wow moment as such. Just great puzzles.
An utterly unique experience with the most incredible attention to detail and a use of the space that seems to get more inventive as the game progresses. This was such an immersive game and its accolades are entirely deserved; enthusiasts should treasure each puzzle because they are all beautifully done and you'll wish there were more.
This venue and room was recommended to us by other enthusiasts and it didn't disappoint.
Actors and great decor made this room stand out. While the puzzles were just above average, the decor really made it stand out. The size of the playing space alone! Lots of crawling and small spaces you had to fit in was a bit of an issue for us, but we got through the game anyway. The most physically challenging room we have ever done (but that is also something we try to avoid due to physical health).
The use of lighting was something else - at several stages in the room. That was probably the main theme in the puzzles.
Loved the story - very Indiana Jones like, which they really played on. Even a puzzle from one of the movies.
There was visible care put into this room - we felt it especially in the picture we got to take with us from the room.
Recommended - if you don't mind the physical challenges.
Another unique experience begins with the introduction to the room, hosting is again excellent and sets the tone well for the room. Entering through a door is too plain for this room, so expect something a little different.
Set design is good and the puzzles flow well, though the space lends itself to a smaller team (2-3). Book this along with all the rooms at The Room and you will be in for a treat!
We've heard about this room being the absolute must if you are an escapist on holidays to Berlin, we had such an incredible experience. The pre-game was really immersive (which is often missed by some hosts) , the way to the room was never seen before, the room itself had a lot of secrets that were really exciting to discover and there were so many details! For example, at the beginning of the room, you are explained the rules through the pictures taken by a drone that they lost contact with. And if you pay close attention, you can find the broken drone in the room, attention to details made it very immersive and helped build the story perfectly well. Absolutely amazing. To not lose any immersion, even the clues are played to you as riddles and there is no TV screen present in the room (which in many rooms break the atmosphere). WE LOVED IT. The room is perfect for a team of 2-3 players. It's a no brained, you should head there as soon as you've read the last full stop of this review.
Deserving of its reputation, absolutely fantastic from start to end. Brilliant introduction from our GM in impeccable English. Some physical skills required - check website page for full info if needed. Play all their rooms if you can!

I've seen more than one enthusiast describe Lost Treasure as the best escape room in Europe. Of course, tastes vary, and no one person can play more than a selection of the games available, so clearly any such claim is only a matter of subjective option. Even so, it's one of a very small number of games which could plausibly be a candidate for that title.
While booking this game the website shows a warning saying that all players must pass through narrow passages, be fit, not be afraid of darkn...
Humboldt and the Lost Treasure left us simply speechless. We had never played such a room before. No other room has managed to create such a dense and entertaining atmosphere - like Humboldt and the Lost Treasure.
