Sir Henry Cunningham’s old diary tells of his journey through Africa almost two centuries ago. Trying to re-discover his route, you stumble across a poachers’ camp in the wilderness of the savannah.
The poachers are away trapping animals for sale to private zoos, but they’ll be back soon. Can you foil the poachers, free a captured game ranger and escape before the bad guys return?
You’ll need the skills of a tracker, as well as a puzzler’s brains to figure out how to foil the poachers and escape their camp.
Poachers’ Compound has been created with two difficulty levels, so it is suitable for both youngsters and adult players. All of the puzzles are under cover, but make sure you dress for the unpredictable British weather!

On a lovely sunny day, doing an escape room outside was an absolute joy. Yes, it is designed for families with children; yes, it is on the straightforward side; and yes, it's a little more physical than cerebral, but what it lacks in serious challenge, it makes up for in sheer fun and novelty. Definitely one for the young and young-at-heart so, enthusiasts, take as small a team as possible and just enjoy a nice time in the Yorkshire sunshine!

This was a fun, bright and breezy end to our day at Kanyu Escape. It's obviously more targeted at the family audience which is reflected in the difficulty. But the opportunity to play outside was novel and the use of the theme was quite clever.

There are sections that will just appeal to the kid in all of us. The focus on African wildlife is good, clean (mostly!), educational fun, and the finale is an absolute hoot
Another impressive experience from Kanyu, and a great choice for a Covid-safe room. It has two difficulty levels (child or adult) and it's a little easier that the other rooms at Kanyu, and maybe a tad less immersive.
