Both of us thoroughly enjoyed this room, more so than the higher rated (in the UK Escape Room Awards) room at the venue which was the reason for our visit!
The room is cleverly put together with some genuinely unexpected delights and puzzles not seen before. An unusual premise with a lovely story, not too heavy on locks and searching and signposted well. Great hosting from Ash.
Excellent room, and great hosts, plenty of puzzles to keep us all busy!
This was my first experience of an escape room so not qualified to give the best review. However, we had great fun. There were plenty of puzzles to solve and they required a bit of ingenuity. I couldn’t give a 5 because it’s my first time and I’ve got nowhere else to go after that but We’re already planning to return for their new room coming soon so I definitely recommend.
Loved the design, loved the concept, loved the puzzles. Plenty for our duo to keep us going, clever quirks around every corner and a plethora of keys and padlocks to keep us satisfied!
There's a lot of puzzles here but (weirdly) it feels like they belong in other rooms, the narrative didn't really gel for me but the gameplay is quite good.
A great room for enthusiasts who enjoy lots of locks and clever multi-layered puzzles. Also featuring what must be the world's tiniest key.
Some nice props in this room, that were in keeping with the story line. A couple of unique puzzles that we enjoyed. It was a nice calm, linear room for us. We sailed through quite nicely not needing assistance. A really nice escape room.
Played the new version opened in Cambridge (same chain). Elegant simple set and nice back story. In terms of puzzles the game is largely linear (would not recommend >2 if experienced) and fairly old school so there will be little that you will not have experienced before in one way or another; so saying, the game itself was fun and we enjoyed the ending. Not amazing hosting (GM struggled with concept of a hint so the one time we asked for a pointer, she just told us the answer rather than something more subtle).

You might find the backstory for this game a little perplexing: it involves a boy called Jan Tleskac who has a flying bicycle, and a certain puzzle called 'the Hedgehog in the Cage'. It is in fact based on a series of Czech 1940s children's stories, which gives away the Czech origin of the game's design. That design also shows through in its style.
The term 'first generation' is often used, sometimes with a negative connotation, of escape games that have mostly low tech components and not much ...
