Edgar, the bunny, has been poached and you have hatched a plan to find him and bring him home. Join us on this light-hearted, cracking split start adventure where teamwork really is the key to success. You will begin the game in either a dark or a light room putting your observation and communication skills to the test before continuing the adventure through the gate of Sunnyside house together in search of Edgar. But that is only part of the mission! This is a dual objective game so along the way you will also have optional 12 mini puzzles to complete. Each mini puzzle will award you with an egg which will be totalled at the end of the game to give you a score as well as an escape time. But be sure to focus on the escape route first though, as you can only score if Edgar is returned home before time runs out. Can you unscramble the mystery of what happened to Edgar and bring him home? Or will you crack under pressure?

Despite how it sounds, this isn't really an Easter room, but the theme and the context are very original and the sense of humour is evident throughout the room!

The space has been re-used really well and the separate start was done so that neither of us ever felt like a spare part.

Having a second objective after we completed the main objective was good fun and added an extra layer to an already great room.

Thoroughly recommended!

Don’t miss! Fantastic hosting by Cody.

Don’t decide not to book because it’s an Easter game, it was so much fun. A team of two as always adds a bit of challenge but is doable. EO rooms are always so so good.

Such a fun and silly game! Loads of egg-cellent puns throughout and so many unique puzzles and ideas that were egg-ceptionally clever! We enjoyed the fact that there was a main goal and a very clear secondary objective as well. Whilst I didn't fully get parts of the story, it really didn't matter, it really didn't matter as the flow of solving was so good and the puzzles were great as always. This is probably my second favourite game at EO (Karma holds the top spot).

To put it in a (nut)shell, this is an absolutely cracking game that takes eggs-ellent puzzle design, a whole clutch of truly eggs-eptional egg-based puns and a very cute little bunny rabbit, mixes them together into one delicious omelette of puzzle-solving fun and delivers that mad scramble of delight that one only gets from a proper padlocky puzzle-fest (and yes, every single egg pun is entirely intentional).

This is not an Easter-themed game, although it absolutely could be played as one if that's what you fancy; this is an adorable, frantic fever-dream that has been created with an immense amount of care by Kelly and the team at EO and that we simply didn't want to end.

The split-start is a super way to begin and - although it doesn't have much to do with eggs, bunnies or a delightful spring garden - it really doesn't matter. The puzzles are plentiful and, as with the best split-starts, communication is key. Once into the garden, our main quest was to rescue Edgar the bunny but our side quest had us cracking open a plethora of padlocks to collect a clutch of eggs.

Fancy tech and movie-standard sets are great and all but we're the type of enthusiasts who want to be faced with a giant wall of padlocks. Chatting to Kelly - one of the owners - after the game, it became very clear that we share that preference: that sweet *clunk* of a padlock as you get the right code... the cheeky thrill of a cipher and letter lock combination... the delight when the directional padlock opens first time and there's no double-clicking for you as you sail on through to the next puzzle... That, for us, makes an enjoyable escape room. If we find ourselves actively stopping each other in a room to remark on just how much fun we're having then we know we're onto a winner.

Ratings and reviews are so subjective but if it's fun you're after, them embrace the madness and go and rescue poor Edgar!

Don't let the Easter theming put you off, there's a lot to like here.  It does feature a split start and communication is very much the key (you start in the same space as Captive).  The puzzles are a combination and show very much EO's flair for puzzle design.  Sign posting is very good and it's only rarely we were seemingly stuck before spotting something we had missed.  As with EO's other games there is also a bonus element so once you've rescued Edgar you can then complete a series of bonus puzzles before finishing the game.  Our hosts were Kelly and Kodi and were fantastic throughout.  EO really has become one of my favourite venues for both their game design and approach to games.  It might not be as clever as the rest of the games here but it's still very much worth your time.

A fun room with a split start, with some clever and unique collaboration puzzles between the two starting rooms. The main area of the room is really fun, well themed and again with lots of fun puzzles and a heist style 'puzzle' dump at the end gave a really fun tense suspenseful ending.

If I could use all the tags, I would! This is not just a seasonal room, this is a fabulous adventure. We were a bit dubious about the split start but it works so well and doesn't actually feel like you are apart from the rest of your team (you'll find out why, when you play!). The room flows exceptionally well with a variety of puzzles to suit everyone and keep you steadily busy throughout! Given the dual objective, you can set your own pace for escaping which means you can chooses to take the pressure off (if you want to; which we didn't!!)Another fantastic room; thanks EO team!

There are far fewer Easter games than there are Christmas ones, and even fewer that are available year-round. EO’s Eggscape is emphatically not a quick pop-up intended to take advantage of the season - it comfortably stands alongside the other rooms at the venue.
In fact, in the first section you might forget about the Easter theming - it begins with a split team start that goes on for longer than typical. As split team sections go, I thought it was a particularly well-designed one too, with pl...
