A forgotten will from an eccentric relative informs you of a vast wealth of inherited riches belonging to a late Lady Mary. Lady Mary was filled with greed and upon her death she hoarded her wealth behind elaborate puzzles to keep them from unworthy hands, but a crack team of codebreakers could sneak their way into her tomb and reclaim her legacy.
The silent skeletons are not the only inhabitants of the graveyard, however, as a mysterious Crypt Keeper patrols the area every hour. Perhaps they wish to keep the riches for themselves, but it would be foolish to wait to find out.

We played this in the dark with torches as part of their Hallowe'en promotion. This made it much more fun and added to the theme of being in a dark place at night, looking for clues. It was a fun room and nearly took us the hour (while we like to finish in a good time, we also like to get our money's worth - as an actress said to a bishop). The puzzles were -based in the main and a couple weren't entirely relevant but not detrimental to the game. Good, fun room. Wasn't hugely difficult but provided a good enough challenge.
Absolutely loved Legacy, so many puzzles! A really non-linear room which meant we were able to separate and just work on our own or join up to tackle harder ones. Loved this room, really gave me the puzzle rush!
Very good room. If you like opening locks you won’t be disappointed! Played as a team of three but would suit teams of 2-5. Good mix of puzzles. Great GM.
Had a blast in Legacy - Some great puzzles and room looked great.
Great little game, I think we just got really lucky that day and didn't struggle at all so wouldn't have put it on the harder scale, but it was fab game with some sneaky puzzles!
Really really enjoyed legacy, as a theme this was completely something different we hadn't really seen before, and as one of escapisms newer rooms you could definitely tell that they'd heightened the bar.
We played as a team with two and find it quite easy as we are experienced, but we could also see how the room will be quite hard if you've never played before.
Our very first escape room, with myself my husband and our two kids (both teens). The hosts were great and explained everything really well. There were some tricky puzzles in there, and it did take us a while to get started, but the theming was really good.
I think we had a few extra minutes from our host though! She must have felt sorry for us haha
Played this game just as it opened and absolutely loved it! Played with 2 other players that were fairly new to escaping (but good!) and we managed to get out with 15 minutes to spare using no clues, so I wouldn't say it was that challenging (however we may have just had a good day) Theming was great, and there was some sneaky puzzles in there!
Great fun - some puzzles a bit logic-leapy and don't match the theme of the room, but we did enjoy ourselves.

Our final room (for now) at Escapism, this was really fun. The first part had brilliant decoration and really fun puzzles to solve, it’s maybe a bit front-loaded with enjoyability but it was still tons of fun. It’s listed as a 5 star difficulty and we did alright with a group of 2 but are somewhat experienced, maybe get a few under your belt before trying Legacy!
Fun room and enjoyed but there were a couple of puzzles that felt a bit like they didn't belong in the room, also 1 puzzle being too hard to solve without a clue. Good themeing, could fix up in certain areas but overall great.
As a newbie to the world of escape rooms, this room will always have a place in my heart.
I don't want to give too much away, as not everyone will have played this game but for the space and resources Escapism have, they truly have made up for this within this particular game!
Loved it!
The room is really well laid out and decorated with some smart and varied puzzles and a strong backstory. We specifically asked our game master if she could give us 0 clues and this definitely made the experience even more exciting as we solve all the puzzles on our own, definitely feeling trapped and locked-in, this really helped us feel immersed. Going forward, this will become our number one rule: 0 clues unless requested! The Legacy is one of their best game with the Missing, in my opinion.
An enjoyable room. One of the only places I've been made to sign a waiver before I played, which seemed a little unnecessary. I don't really know why they needed to ask us all our age.
Escapism looks like a very modern venue, with a bright reception area in a much newer building than the typical old disused office. However the games are relatively low-tech and reliant on good old-fashioned padlocks, and the theming and story elements are fairly perfunctory.
That said, this room does manage to create a reasonably spooky atmosphere, and there’s a good variety of puzzles (including a smell-based puzzle, a type I’d never seen before). It’s also not all linear so even with a larger group you’ll be kept busy. With just two of us it was challenging but fun.

Escapism Plymouth: Legacy
Overview
This was our first visit to Plymouth to try Escapism where we were greeted by our host Mikayla. The first impressions of the waiting area is very minimalistic without anywhere to really sit down apart from a window bench going down the length of the building. There was a refreshment area and a big cabinet selling a lot of home escape games. Mikayla ran through the type of padlocks that are to be found in the room, which is always a nice refresher into the usage of the many different padlocks found in escape rooms. The owner Lauren was in the reception area and made us feel welcome with a good chat about our ‘successes’ in previous games. Mikayla then took us to our room, Legacy.
Room impression
As soon as you walk into the room, you can see how much effort has been put into it. The atmosphere is surprisingly light in a graveyard themed room but none the less, it was decorated really well and you soon immerse yourself into the theme of the room and with it being relatively new, nothing was out of place and everything looked really smart and authentic. There was a nice bit of background music and noises throughout the game, which is a nice change to the boring silence that you get in some rooms. All in all, a really well thought through room and one we really enjoyed.
Puzzles
The puzzles in the game varied in level of difficulty but as you would expect from the briefing, there were quite a few padlocks. The 4 of us managed to get stuck in quite quickly in the game. We all felt we brought something to the room in this one although one puzzle really had us stumped for quite some time and did make us ask for help. Even after the game had finished and we asked how we could have solved it without help, we still didn’t really understand it but then we aren’t the brightest 🙂 None the less, this one puzzle didn’t dampen our mood in the room and we all really enjoyed the puzzles.
Game Master Clues
Mikayla was able to type on the tv timer screen to give us a nudge and she was quite happy to leave us to it as we do work well together but when we did need the help in this one she did with speed and a bit of humour. The tv makes a raven noise if you do receive a hint to make sure you don’t miss it, which is a nice touch.
Round Up
The room set up and puzzles made this room really enjoyable for us and we all agreed that this was one of favourites to date. The game didn’t seem that difficult compared to some of the others we have done in past but it really was enjoyable. They have a really good set up and on the time of our visit there were 2 more rooms about to be released to add to the 4 already there. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and we would recommend Escapism to anyone.
