A very solid remote avatar room, with a pleasant host. A good assortment of puzzles that made good use of the strengths of all of our team members. The camera work was a bit "swoopy" (i.e., nauseating), but improved once we asked him to stop with the swooping. Rather a lot of codes to enter, but the inventory system did work well.
Really enjoyed this room - the avatar had fun interacting with the team, and stayed in character which was great. There was lots to do, with some different stuff I haven't seen before, and they used other staff members well. At one point I was laughing so hard I couldn't speak. Definitely recommend.
Fairly standard room, solidly adapted for remote. The avatar provided some extra amusement but didn't significantly elevate the experience for me.
Hard to be fair here because Internet issues led to our experience being annoying due to no fault of the operator. Average puzzles and room, but the avatar character is amusing and funny.

Although I'm delighted that during this time of lockdown it's possible to play escape rooms remotely via a video livestream, there's no question that I'd much rather play rooms in person, and normally assume that the remote format is an inevitable step down from the live version. Trapped's Operation X-13 is I think the first game I've tried where I think the version they run for remote play might have the edge over the original.
It's a fairly classic sort of escape room scenario: infiltrate the...
Right from the beginning he was in character and got us laughing throughout the game. The "searching" aspect of the game was completely done by him in a very natural way so our team could focus all our energy on the puzzles. We enjoyed this because we didn't feel like we were controlling a robot but rather a real live team member was playing with us and we were in this together.
I've had so much fun tonight!
I'm liking these remote escapes more and more. We've just
finished an adventure in a room that has already reopened to the public
and still continues to offer Operation X-13 in video to gamers around
the world.
We spent the evening in Las Vegas on a secret mission. We all
think the room was better from a distance than in real life because for
us it was the interaction with the Game Master that made all the
difference.

[...] our avatar did a great job, playing the "likable, semi-competent doofus" type that I'd met again & again, but not so much with this group. We felt there was a lot to do but still covered it promptly, ensuring we had enough time to goof around.
There was one incident of note at the beginning of our game, but I'm keeping it for the Lessons Learned.
