Sehr cool was die Jungs da in die alten Mauer des Hauses temporär auf die Beine gestellt haben. Nette Jumpscares und Ideen! Auch wenn die zwei von den ganzen Spielen schon ziemlich fertig waren, haben sie sich bei uns viel Mühe gegeben. Nur der heftige Einsatz von künstliche generierten Bilder/Sound fällt dann doch an der einen oder anderen Stelle etwas auf.

The Abandoned Cabin von

The original title that launched the EXIT franchise. Compared to modern entries, this box feels sparse. The components are minimal and the puzzles, while showing the seeds of the series' trademark creativity, feel rudimentary by today's standards. It is interesting for historical reasons if you want to see how the genre started. However, the sequel "Return to the Abandoned Cabin" improves on this foundation in every way.

If you only play one Christmas room this year, make it this one. The hosting is key to this room and it was both hysterically funny and brilliantly done (thank you Ant!). As two elderly folk we were almost crying laughing most of the time. This game is very very suitable for families, the side game of collecting candy canes and the elf's mischievous methods of slowing you down are so much fun.
In terms of the actual puzzles, a great variety as expected from Break Escape and a finale that has to be done, children will love it and anyone with an ounce of Christmas joy will too.

I took this game on for a second time (following completing it last year with a different partner) the idea is very complex, 86 puzzles, 3 different levels of puzzles all worth different points. Complete the puzzle, add the correct name and post it to Santa - if you're right you get points, if you're wrong it comes back. It's chaos, it's hectic, it's a game everyone can try and you will always get a score!
Great fun Christmas game!!
