PerpleXed Escape Rooms

I took this game on for a second time (following completing it last year with a different partner) the idea is very complex, 86 puzzles, 3 different levels of puzzles all worth different points. Complete the puzzle, add the correct name and post it to Santa - if you're right you get points, if you're wrong it comes back. It's chaos, it's hectic, it's a game everyone can try and you will always get a score! 

Great fun Christmas game!! 

Not for the faint hearted, but only if the thought of over 80 puzzles make you weak at the knees.  There are puzzles to solve everywhere that you can complete in a non-linear fashion, can't solve one, find another and they can add more.  There is an added complication that each present needs to have the right name label attached before being dispatched to Santa for delivery, but if you get it wrong, back it comes.  This is a great concept and is executed well, there are puzzles for all ages (you can the difficulty level of the puzzle by the bow on top).

A great tough game with some really clever puzzles throughout. Enjoyed the theming and how each set of puzzles was framed. Another great room from the masterminds at Perplexed!

This was our 3rd escape room with this company, with a lovely and friendly host! The room was packed full of puzzles, with some being very ingenious in terms of design, and some unique mechanisms. Sadly we didnt succeed but will aim to come back to do their Christmas room again 

A well thought out room with a variety of puzzles to choose from of varying difficulties, so good if with children as they can do the easier puzzles. Some good puzzles, we didn't manage the difficult ones!

A rather tricky, brain overload kind of room, but in a really good way. So many puzzles, easy, medium and hard. Would highly recommend. 

A slightly different take on the 'cash grab' style of game as technically you're aiming to make the room as empty as possible. Each of the puzzles in this game relates to a present for a child somewhere in the world and it is your job to make sure that the right present gets sent to the right child. Huge variety of puzzles and a great mixture of difficulty levels too. We were chuffed to have finished everything with literally 1 second left on the clock! As always another excellent game from PerpleXed!

Wow this was crazy! Talk about value for money. You get the full hour to score as many points as you can by opening giftboxes and trying to discover which name to tag them with by finding things in the room or solving puzzles. 3 levels of difficulty for the boxes and so much in the room to make use of. Our brains really felt maxed out! It was great to solve puzzles separately but then if yours stuck pass them off for others to try, and the coming together at the end to work on the tougher ones. Fabulous!

Firstly we played The Curse of Captain Kraken on an evening when they wouldn’t normally be open - they opened specifically for us, which is always great and appreciated. The game itself was pretty immersive with lots of set dressing, and as seasoned escapers the puzzles largely made sense. Lots of fairly unique concepts or unusual tech that we hadn’t seen before. The flip side was we managed to completely miss 3 locks by either luck or initiative (probably born from having done so many), though the GM did say it’s never happened before - us rather than the game, and she also let us do the bits we missed after to get the complete experience.

Despite this we both enjoyed ourselves, and came away talking about all the fun and unusual things we’d liked (sometimes you come away from rooms irritated about the puzzles or things that didn’t work, and this definitely wasn’t one of those). Recommended.
