Your eyes begin to focus through the dull light. The croak and groan of the Russian cargo ship, The Demeter, makes you feel uneasy. You sense that a terrible event has occurred - the crew are missing, presumed dead. Only the body of the Captain is later recovered, found horrifically bound to the helm of the vessel.
You have been called upon by Professor Abraham Van Helsing, the noted Dutch Metaphysician and his former student, Dr. John Seward whom's patient, the aristocrat - Lucy Westenra, is presenting a series of bizarre symptoms. She seems to be drawn under the power of an unknown force which yolks her strength, day by day. What is causing her decline and could it be in some way connected to the eery appearance of the deserted ship upon Whitby's shore? Only you can find the truth!

For a family game with a mixed group of players, this is highly recommended. Creepy but not scary and no jump scares (important to our group). Very smooth GMing with a lot of fun communicating with a silent host, who managed to communicate back just using hands. Great narrative, puzzles all on theme. Some physical puzzles which translated very well to the online format. Most effective use of telescape we've seen. Definitely all able to do our own thing solving puzzles whilst others were exploring. Didn't feel "held up" at any point. Nice rest moments with the story videos as the plot thickened. Both the GM and avatar were superb, and the use of two staff members meant they picked up on everything. We will definitely be playing the munitions men one when it comes out. Would not have believed they'd only been open a week if they hadn't told us.
Fantastic escape room. We played it virtually and had a blast. The room contains some fairly easy puzzles (if you've done escape rooms before), the storyline is solid, and the atmosphere is great. They have unique props for the room which were thoroughly satisfying to find/solve, and the location of the room was unique and lent an air of gravity to the experience. Without giving to much away it was impressive how different the "locations" are from each other. Overall it was really good. Our team sort of wish we had played this one in person but the virtual experience is still worthy of attention. Highly recommend playing Carfax!

Good room, I enjoyed the way the avatar didn't speak which was different. Beautiful setting, well thought-out theme, and a room that would be great to visit in person
Carfax "The Hunter" was a lot of fun - fairly simple puzzles but the presentation, with live avatar and GM, was really well executed. Telescape was used to great effect, and the GM fed us videos and sound effects as the game progressed. They've gone a really good job in converting their game to online play.
