Escape From Wonderland: Escape from Wonderland

When an escape room looks the part and - of all things - smells the part, you know you're onto a good thing! The Wonderland theme is abundant here and not only in the game itself; the welcome area fits beautifully into Lewis Carroll's world and the story behind the room links nicely to Leiden itself.

The decor in the room itself is the big hitter here but it's not style over substance: the puzzles are gorgeous and a few little puzzle chains were so delightful that we stopped what we were doing in the room just to appreciate them.

There's one particular feature we'd never seen before and this blew every other Wonderland-themed room we've done out of the water.

Our host was Linke, who was absolutely lovely. She was a shrewd GM who held back on hints and who clearly loves escape rooms.

This one is an absolute must if you're near Leiden.
