Easily playable as a single player or team of 2, despite the 3-8 player recommendation on the box.

Took only 47 mins and we found it quite easy.

Enjoyable puzzles.

We both really enjoyed this game, albeit a little easy. It was very well written and linear which we like. Would not recommend for more than 3/4 people as there isn’t enough to do. A good starter escape box.

Probably the best ER-in-a-box out there right now (Oct 2016). All paper & cardboard, but fun paper & cardboard. Neat story, varied puzzles, nice illustrations. A bit lightweight for enthusiasts.

Recommend 2-4p max. Can be reset if you're careful not to mangle anything. (Reset instructions are on the ThinkFun site.)

I was pleasantly surprised by this one! Solid gameplay, nice tangible parts, good story, completely reusable, pretty much checks all the boxes for a tabletop ER game.

Stargazer's Manor is the second ThinkFun boxed escape room we played, but is the first one they released, since in a fit of anarchic rebellion we decided to play them in reverse order.
Many of the comments on their other game apply here too, of course. It's inevitably lower energy and less of a buzz than a real escape room, since it involves less movement and no searching. While the game text is well written, it's up to you to create the atmosphere, and it's well worth choosing suitable music, ...
This escape room in a box massively exceeded my expectations and highlighted what a poor job some real life escape room do. A good theme and puzzles made this an engaging 45 minutes for four people. Expect to see more of these in the future!

The Stargazer's manor is where the town's well-respected astronomer Richard Harrison and his wife lived. After his wife's passing, the astronomer became very strange. He fired everyone, even his trusted caretaker! After awhile, neighbors started to complain about the noise and smoke that's coming out of his house. The caretaker decided to gather a group of brave souls to venture inside and check on Mr. Harrison's well being...

Like something you’d expect to find in Wonderland, a 10.5″ x 8.5″ x 2″ box hides an entire escape room ready to play in the comfort of your own home!
A fun and immersive play-at-home experience with good quality puzzles and high production values
As the City adventurers are unable to actually visit escape rooms, I am going to add my reviews of Escape Games in a box that can be played at home. Mystery At the Stargazers Manor The Mystery At the Stargazers Manor is another escape room in a box. Made for 3-8 players, this one is by
