Firstly, our host Philip was great. The theming in the location was spot on, really good use of the space. The puzzles were also well themed, although slightly worn which made things a little trickier.  We over thought some of the puzzles but was a nice room to finish off the evening.

The room initially felt like it was going to be an absolute nightmare, but turned out to be fairly logical and not too hard to get through. The second stage had the same feeling to begin with but as long as you read all the instructions you find, its not too bad. There was one glitchy bit of technology that held us up a bit though.

The immersion was fantastic from entering the disused station to inside the game. In with the war /codebreaking theme many of the puzzles were pattern based and often relied on trial and improvement approaches (not a bad thing here I thought). Only thing that let it down was the poor hosting - the host didn’t really introduce the game (explain what the idea was for the 2 new players I had brought with me) or talk with us afterwards and left us to our own devices for ages upon entering the building.

I really wanted to like this one more than I did, as it looked very promising.

The puzzles were fairly straightforward, and we did have a bit of a technical issue with one switch.  I didn't really find it noticeably more immersive than any other rooms I've done - perhaps because of the too-loud and over the top constant sound effects (I don't think codebreakers would have been working in rooms so loud you have to shout over the sound of the aerial gunfight that you can somehow hear from your underground bunker), but the immersion was worse the further through the game you got.

6 people is definitely too many - the last 10/15 minutes was basically a 1/2 person job so we finished on a bit of a low as most of us had just been standing around for a while.

You will get dusty in this, it's unavoidable.  And there is a part with a very enclosed space.

Based in a disused tube station, the location here is superb, and the room is themed to match.

Criticisms first: it's a bit linear in places, and the big set-piece puzzle is a little fragile. That said, it's a highly pleasing and memorable puzzle, and the rest of the room leading up to it is superb. Perhaps best with a small team of experienced players, but still not one to miss.

A game that really gets you into the spirit of the Second World War codebreakers. If you can cope with a slightly claustrophobic couple of minutes, some loud noise early on and a little bit of frustration in a later puzzle then I think you'll have an amazing time. If you've interested in the work at Bletchley Park during the war then I think this is a must do. Oh, and it's inside a disused Underground station!
This room promised a lot but ultimately fell flat in many areas. Perhaps one wow moment in the entire game but even that couldn’t help this room rank higher for us.
The importance of location can vary a lot in escape rooms. Some are literally built in the historical place they’re themed around (such as Escape Room at Cromwell’s House). Others simply use the area as inspiration for a game (such as Murder at Brighton Pier). Mission: Breakout takes a different approach, by building the game in a really cool location, the disused South Kentish Town tube station, and then entirely ignoring that location and setting it at Bletchley Park. Which isn’t something to be held against what’s actually a really good game, it’s just an odd design choice.
This could have been so much more. An awesome location and a decent concept let down by confusing puzzles and a string of defects.
