In 2008 the Cheney potash mine was unexpectedly shut down and the site evacuated. Despite much speculation in the media at the time, the reasons for closure remained obscure and the whole event soon became overshadowed by the recession.
About a week ago, your team of investigative journalists received a cryptic answer phone message. The caller claimed to work for a scientific research company named R-Tech Group and requested an urgent meeting to share sensitive information about an earlier ‘mining incident’. You wait at the rendezvous point… but no one turns up.
Intrigued, you start digging into R-Tech’s recent activities and sure enough uncover a connection to the Cheney potash mine. Could there be a secret facility deep inside and, if so, what have they been researching? This could be your chance to expose something huge, so what are you waiting for?!

Excellent game, beautiful set and a great set up with variable add on challenges that you can work on in addition to the original goal - thanks to Sophie for the great hosting.

Sub-Terra is an absolute delight to play! It's one of the most interesting games i've experienced with a lot of tech involved in the puzzles. However none of it feels gimmicky. It's all very well implemented and feels befitting of the theme. There's a great balance of physical and logic based puzzles and the room flows beautifully. I loved the addition of optional side missions to add difficulty to a wonderfully balanced room. This really is up there with the best of the best in my opinion. To think Co-Decode have built such a stunning room in a small space is mind-boggling.
A great looking room, really clean techy puzzles that were totally my vibe. Thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish, unique theme, and the puzzles felt like they served a purpose.

Another great room from co-decode. A really good mix of puzzles which was great for our group of varying experience players. Another room which has a sliding win condition so that beginners and enthusiasts can both enjoy the room to the max.
A fantastic game bringing together great puzzles, impressive engineering, a beautiful set and an interesting storyline. Well worth travelling to Swindon for.
Sub Terra was a delight from start to finish. With a strong story that’s reenforced by a fantastic set, and great puzzles, it has firmly secured a place on my list of Top Ten Favourite rooms (to date). If you haven’t made the trip to Co-Decode yet, what are you waiting for?
