original

At the time of visiting this was the new escape room of nottingham and for the companys first room it is not bad. There was a part in the brief where our group was told not to reach above head height and then when we entered the room there was an object which seemed part of the game above our head height which we was told was to test if people would reach up there.

bad clue system

Good host very talkative. But sadly we asked for no hints or nudges before the game started unless we ask for them while in the game. The host seemed to forget this as we got a clue what felt like every 2 mins and a homer sound every 30 seconds. The homer sound was made whenever you said a thought out loud which really threw the game off as homer doesn't have anything to do with the ancient greeks. The lobby looked like a building site as well. We think there is potental for this to be a great room just some tweaks need to be made and listen to customers when they ask for no clues.

If you’re an experienced player I wouldn’t recommend.

The reception area looked like a building site for a start. All the materials and power tools being used for a future game, hopefully one we won’t be playing

The actual room started off in something that cannot be described, part office space, part Grecian ruins and part building yard. No sign posting, broken puzzles, feint markings, unfinished decor… I shan’t continue.

As for puzzles, there is nothing to say. They are on theme and for the most part had no moments that made us go “a-ha”

At the end, the owner asked for feedback but was extremely rude and confrontational, so much so that we ran up the stairs and exited the building. After playing close to 100 rooms, this has easily gone to the bottom and our whole team will endeavour to erase e experience from our memories.

Truly disappointed

Based on the ancient greek legend, this is a great, great room for beginners with many familiar tropes but presented in a fun way (including a mechanical puzzle I've never seen anywhere else).

In the packed Nottingham escaping scene, Escape Stations is a newer company that’s now starting to register on visiting enthusiasts’ schedules. At present Prometheus is their only physical game, though there’s another one under construction, and the company also offer an unhosted digital game.

Prometheus takes inspiration from Greek mythology, though your initial impression might suggest something different - it’s set in the modern day, and you’re investigating an ancient site uncovered by cons...

If you’re booking a trip to Nottingham, make sure you don’t miss out Escape Stations. Their lobby may not yet be as refined as other venues in the city, but their first game is solid and is an enjoyable experience
On the 23rd of November we decided pretty much last minute to do an escape room. After a good search on Google we came across a name we had yet to see, Escape Stations, which can be found just off Nottingham's Lace Market who has parking close by. With only one physical game on offer we decided to book. For the four of us, the game came to £75 which works out at £18.75 each. On entering Escape Stations we were met by the charismatic Tom who although new to the game was extremely passionate about the industry and was a joy to talk to. After the usual safety spiel in which no corner was left unturned we were led to our room to be told the story of Prometheus.
It’s great to see another new venture opening up in the Midlands and talking to Thomas, the owner, after we played it’s clear he has grand plans for the place. Prometheus is a great start for a first game and seeing the space he has to play with for other games, it’s certainly a company to keep an eye on. Nottingham is slowly becoming the city to visit for your escape weekends away.
