Your friend James hasn't been returning your calls, and when you swing by his restaurant it seems service is off. As you step through the open door, it slams behind you and locks automatically - you didn't realise James took his security so seriously! On the table in front of you is a note - your friend has been a secret agent all along, and his restaurant is really just a front for his spy HQ! He's been snatched by his arch enemy, an evil villain. Can you solve the clues hidden within his headquarters, and use the array of gadgets to help save him? This room offers a huge range of high tech gadgets and gizmos, but you'll also need your logic and speed to solve the puzzles. A perfect scenario for families, this escape room is fun for kids ages 6 to 60!

I had a lot of fun in this room. The puzzles were fairly ordinary but I enjoyed the physical elements of the room as they were a bit different. I think I'd get fed up if that type of thing cropped up in every room but as I one off novelty it worked for me.

Another London visit and squeezed in an escape room. This was quite high tech I thought but not all of it worked that well. Nice theme and we really felt the tension here, with the countdown and the cut scenes. I’d like to try the other rooms too some time

After playing AIM Escape's first two games on an earlier occasion, we took advantage of a pre-Halloween offer to try their other two on a Friday lunchtime. First up was Spy Heroes, the sort of super-spy story where the bad guy is called Mr. Supervillain, the family-friendly style making a distinct contrast to the tone of their other three games. Your job is to save a friend, who just happens to be a Bond-style secret agent, and perhaps save the world while you're about it.

Spy Heros was a heavily themed technology room and you could see this from the moment you walked into the room. It had a great lighting package and impressive retro diner theme to start. Of course this was a cover up for the story and the mission you are a part of. This multi-room experience had everything from searching, literal thinking puzzles to a laser maze room which is incredibly difficult!
