Quite a few clever puzzles and techniques that I hadn't seen before in this game. Great mix of logic, observation, maths and physical puzzles. One puzzle technically required outside knowledge which I'm not too sure about but otherwise a great game.
Fun game with quite an original concept and puzzles. Honestly we weren't expecting much from the first impressions but it ended up being an entertaining experience.
Enjoyed the physical elements of the game especially when you first enter the room, really helped us to get in the mood and into the mindet of the kidnapped characters.
We were stumped by a few puzzles but the Game Master was great at knowing when we needed a little help.
We loved this game. Super edgy - the staff were fantastic, the puzzles were fun to complete and my team mate was a bit on edge given the theme and the theming in the room but we stuck together and got outta there. We had a lot of fun and are looking to return to this branch soon!
Really enjoyed this room - some original not seen before puzzles despite having done lots of escape rooms. Good use of technology. Needed a few clues that I probably wouldn’t have figured out otherwise but no frustrating moments.
Some fun moments, not a bad game at all, my co-escaper's first room and he loved the concept
This room has been well described by the pro reviews. A unique briefing followed by a fairly standard trapped-in-a-cell start (sad that all of the references to cinema stopped at the briefing, as that would've been a truly unique theme).
There was obvious intention to make the puzzle solves more 'realistic' but equally compromises had to be made to incorporate typical escape room progress, so it wasn't as 'different' as it may have hoped to be.
That said, a good jump-scare got Gemma's sister's heart going, and the finish was a satisfying one. The lovely coin we received at the end is still one of the nicest escape room souvenirs we own, alongside various fridge magnets etc. A solid game.
They went to a lot of effort to go all out - including popcorn at the start and medals at the end 🙂

Enigma Escape opened a couple of years ago with the help of a Kickstarter campaign. Their game concept stood out for the then-novel idea that their games would aim for realism and immersion, following the logic of the story not just an arbitrary series of puzzle challenges.
We played The Killer first, their original game. It's worth noting that although each works fine as a stand-alone story, their games are linked in an on-going narrative with recurring characters, so if you want to play them ...
We head to the cinema to watch The Killer. But instead of watching it, we find ourselves needing to escape from it instead!
