Breakout Escape Experience Belfast: Temple of Doom

I was so excited that there were more escape rooms in Belfast I hadn't done. Booked into this room with really high expectations.  There was no information about room difficulty on the website. I have done a lot of escape rooms in the past. Went with two adults (both had done rooms before) and two pre teens. This cost me over 100 quid.

They were clear on arrival that they were only limiting us to two clues, not sure where that rule came from. But in the first room I was actually on the right track, so instead of prompting me they let me waste a lot of time as it was classed as giving me a clue. We didn't get past the first room. When gamemaster came in, he said oh yes this is a hard room and said likely cause we had kids with us. There were two other rooms we hadn't even unlocked. Then said that most people don't get past first room, they shouldn't be proud of that. They should offer more clues so people leave satisfied.

I was looking forward to trying the other rooms here but because of this experience, I will not be back.  I have since been to other escape rooms and spoken about this experience to other GM and they agree that an option to have as many clues should have been offered. What a shame.
