You are a group of secret service agents. During a search in a basement in the center of Copenhagen, you discover that a group of terrorists are planning an attack on the city.

Unfortunately, the terrorists manage to overpower you and lock you into a small cell. They activate the bomb and disappear. The count down clock says 60 minutes!

This escape room was a fine experience overall. I did it with my colleagues in a team of five, and we managed to escape with a few minutes to spare. It was definitely fun and worked well as a team-building activity.

That said, it wasn’t particularly immersive or visually impressive. The setting felt a bit basic – more like a basement in Copenhagen (which it literally was) than a fully themed escape room. There were a few fun mechanisms, but the room relied heavily on padlocks, keys, and number codes, which gave it a bit of an old-school, mechanical feel. Not much in the way of modern or high-tech puzzles.

There was a single mechanism I hadn’t seen before, which was interesting, but nothing that really stood out. Unfortunately, one of the keys was badly bent, and we ended up wasting about four minutes trying to figure out what we were doing wrong. We’d been told not to use force, but in the end, that’s exactly what was needed to get it open.

The most frustrating part was the hint system. You couldn’t ask for help – the game master would only give hints if they thought you needed it. Since they didn’t notice we were stuck due to a broken key, they didn’t intervene, and we just sat there confused and waisted a lot of time.

Overall, it was fun and worth doing, especially with a good team, but the experience would’ve been a lot better with a more immersive setting, a more modern design, and a more responsive hint system.
