A unique game premise, as we were focused on only one area rather than a whole 360 space. But so much was packed in there that we quickly forgot about anything else but trying to solve those puzzles! Some tricky ones kept us thinking for a bit, and the host was in character for a few laughs. Would recommend.
The third of Joel's boxes that we have played (and now need to wait for him to build another!) Our team was 2 households.
Have to say this was a bit hard for us to really get into - after about 25 minutes we felt like we hadn't really got anywhere but then we woke up, smelt the coffee, and completed the room in time. Think there was one prod in the right direction by Joel but expertly done by him.
There was one puzzle that we probably would have solved quicker had it been physically accessible by us but generally his boxed work well online and this was no different to the others we've played, just smaller.
Joel is great, and the value for money on all Headlocked's rooms is brilliant. This one is more of a box game than Mystic Ruins, but there's still lots to do and some great mechanics.
Our first virtual online/avatar game and we weren't too sure what to expect but Joel really pulled out all the stops in this game. We thoroughly enjoyed it and for a box game, there were many very clever puzzles. So much fun in one small box!
Not as good as their other game since it feels a bit cramped, but works well enough and the host is fun to speak to.
Fun tabletop game with some extras. Loved the spellcasting and the fun introduction. A gret game to if you want an introduction to avatar rooms as there is very little movement of the camera.

Headlock is an escape room company newly arrived in Norwich, and given the general COVID-19 uncertainty, have decided to launch with remote play-from-home games rather than in-person ones for now. Of their two games, both use a livestream but Wizard's Apothecary is a tabletop style box game whereas their other is a normal avatar style.
The backstory is that a mad wizard has inflicted three curses upon the world, which you need to break - though you'll need to work out exactly which curses they ...
Our little remote escape room team took on The Wizard’s Apothecary challenge on a relaxed Sunday evening. Well, relaxed for me! The rest of the team had just come from another room but, despite that, we managed to absolutely ace the room in under an hour with very few hiccups. That’s right Wizard Nebo, we’re not just pretty faces.
