Their best room, but also has their worst puzzle which took one of us nearly 20 mins to do.

I played this and The Blueprint in the same day. Dark Ages was okay and had some fun puzzles but the host was very rude. I wouldn't go back.

My fav of the 3 rooms they currently have to offer and yet their original game.
A very home made feel to the room, but a lot of things to do in such a small space (Although the largest room in their catalogue)
There is a little bit of free roam, however the majority will be strictly linear meaning its not that suitable for larger groups as people may be sat around for a while waiting for things to be completed.
The puzzles were not ground breaking and often contoured to traditional escape room puzzles, however there a few clever elements and its still a really fun game to play

Code To Exit is based in Altrincham on the outskirts of Manchester, about half an hour by car from the city centre, built and run by a couple of Hungarian business partners. There's a particular style of escape room that I think of as Hungarian, being games that emphasise puzzles over story, with plenty of hand-made wooden components and a use of skill-based puzzles, all of which are true of The Dark Age.
