A very frustrating experience. A key part of the game was broken, and rather than do the right thing (make the game unavailable until fixed) the owners instead decided to substitute a truly absurd replacement puzzle. For the price, that is not okay.
The set dressing is marvellous and there is a good range of puzzles. But the shoddy fix to the denouement just ruined this for me.
There was a lot we liked about this game, and my overall impression was that we enjoyed it, however - there were technical issues with the game and not everything worked the way that it should. A few small tweaks on the technical side and it would be a 4 star game for sure.
This might have gotten a higher rating if the tech hadn't broke towards the end. This was a telescape-like game for those who know what that means, though it was not built on telescape. When it broke down we wrote to the company - finding out that the support email did not exist. We instead wrote back on the email where we got the password for the game. We haven't heard anything back yet. After an hour we ended up cheating and looking up the solution for the next puzzle so that we could move on, but it was clear that we missed part of the game.
At first we were in love with the theme and style of the room. Unfortunately we were two players and everything you did effected the other player, so we could not explore the room separately. That part was also partly broken that your screen did not always update when the other player did something (specially when we had to turn an object). There was a bit of delay from clicking to action so sometimes we clicked twice and the thing you just opened was closed on the second click.
Puzzle wise this was a nice room. You did find surprises and hidden paths and the signposting was reasonably good. At one point you couldn't see the lock you were working on and because the input was writing the solution in a textbox, you didn't know how many numbers or if it was text you needed. A map puzzle was the one that broke for us.
