Dream Vault: Smuggler’s Grove

When my husband clocked this relatively new escape room he booked it and I'm glad it got to be our 72 room. We were greeted by Mars who was an excellent GM being attentive and explaining the ever important safety in a way that tied in well to the overall theming for the location. 

We enjoyed the flow of the space and the combination of different puzzle types. We did activate a puzzle that did not release as it should have done but our GM was quick to identify this and remedy it in a non obtrusive and humorous manner. 

It is absolutely worth a visit and we look forward to going back to experience the next room they open. 

Lovely to see a new company in Reading! Nice first game with a decent set and use of space. Fairly standard affair for the puzzles so it would've been nicer to see some more variation on classic styles.

Dream Vault were great! They fit in well with Readings amazing escape room scene. We've completed all companies/rooms in Reading, so was excited a new place had opened to try.

The room was a great build, very immersive, good puzzles and good hosting and story. We can't wait to try your new rooms. 

This is a new operator in Reading which is exciting as obviously Reading has lots of great rooms and we are running out having done most of them! 

This is a fun room, with beautiful set and some surprises. It has only been open a few months and they definitely have some challenges with items that are likely to get broken and similar to someone else the final code whilst correct failed to unlock a lock for us due to a reset error by the venue so we had to be given a key - it was minor in terms of interruption but worthy of resolving the issue.

Overall  fun room and I’d recommend it when in Reading. It is a little reminiscent of age of magic but that’s a great game too.

This room was great!! (Even better that we set the rooms record) 

Immersive from the point of the rooms door opening, a lot of different puzzles in this room. I wouldn’t say original puzzles but puzzles that we’ve never seen done ‘that way’.

One of the most “beautiful” rooms we’ve ever been in, it’s peaceful and feels so real. 

The room has a few unexpected surprises in terms of how you move into the next rooms and how certain puzzles unlock. 

Overall one of the better rooms we’ve done recently and will most certainly be returning once they’ve opened each of there other 4 future rooms. We had a lovely conversation with the owner who is so so lovely and genuine and has done the most fantastic job for her first ever attempt at creating an escape room. 

Give this place a chance!!!

They’re great!!! 

Potential for a good game given the plot line, however I thought the actual themeing of the room was very similar to other local games. I didnt feel that there were that many puzzles either in the room and unfortunately we were off to a disappointing start when one of the puzzles we had done correctly but it didn't register so the GM had to come in to give us the object that should have been released. For some of the puzzles/clues there wasn't a logical link so the GM was often giving pointers on the screen, even though we did not ask. This took away from the gameplay. In the 2nd room, it was absolutely freezing which made it hard to enjoy and after the GM said he would have had to come in to reset the heating. All in all, I did not find the game very immersive, and the ending waa very anti climatic in comparison to the other 80+ games I have done. This is a shame as there are 2 more follow on stories to play coming in the future at this venue.
