Impressive space with lots of interesting and different elements to discover. Really enjoyed the variety of puzzles and the fact that it was quite tricky too. If the room was brighter this would have been a 4.5* game as we were often having to get people to double check locks / shine light!

Another fun room - very dark at the start, but I guess that’s part of the vibe and makes things run a bit slower so you don’t go speeding through! Some really impressive sets and features too! Played as a 2 but would have benefitted from a third person, as we only just got out in time and missed a certain part of the room!

Clockwork Escapes Telford's "The Legend of Foole's Gold" is a treasure trove of fun! This escape room is a thrilling combination of puzzle-solving and exploration. While it follows a clear path, there's a great balance of padlock puzzles and hands-on tasks, making it engaging for everyone. We loved feeling like real-life miners thanks to the incredible set design and attention to detail – the dust alone was a convincing touch! The puzzles were satisfying, but one final challenge was quite time-consuming for a team of two, and it would have been even more exciting to earn extra gold by solving optional puzzles instead of just finding it lying around. Despite this, we had a blast! A must-play for adventure seekers and puzzle enthusiasts.

Any visit to Clockwork Escapes is likely to leave you talking about the host. Becostumed and behatted, with an instant dry wit that could put Richard O’Brien to shame, with the presence and elocution of a circus ringmaster, he sets the tone of the venue and never fails to be memorable. I don’t actually know whether the company sometimes has other hosts; it seems likely that they do, but I struggle to imagine their rooms being run by someone else, or another person managing to bring an similar ex...

a brilliant game for enthusiasts, meaty puzzles with that bonus collection element which is sure to please the most hardened teams
