Nakatomi Plaza was certainly a story driven room which is something I always appreciate. Your game starts straight away and you are highly encouraged to play along with the crazy situations you’ll find yourself in. The host tried his best to ensure we had a great time despite the game not being designed for English players. While I won’t ever rate a foreign room down for not being in English (we’re the people who aren’t learning the language!) I do think it’s important to note that this was a game that definitely felt like it had a language barrier.
While I enjoyed the theme of the room the puzzles themselves really didn’t click with us. The flow felt quite unclear and, while the GM was trying his best to clue, the language barrier ended up meaning we were put in the wrong direction a couple of times.
That being said I absolutely love actors and a bit of improv and this room certainly did that very well, we laughed our way through lots of it!

The ‘customer service’ at this location let the experience down a little—when we had some issues, they were unresponsive and not particularly helpful. That aside, the introduction to the game was fun, and the hosting was hilarious (with what we understood) and well-executed. You could tell the game was starting to show its age a bit, but it still had some charm.
The biggest issue was the language barrier. Despite selecting English, multiple key components were still in Spanish, which caused unnecessary frustration. On top of that, our gamemaster’s thick accent made it difficult to hear over the intercom, and his weak English led to some actively unhelpful hints (for example, telling us to open the wardrobe when he actually meant the cupboard in a different room).
The room itself was quite linear with a decent selection of puzzles, but they didn’t always tie back to the story in a satisfying way. The ending also felt a bit odd and anticlimactic—going from one extreme straight into a very flat “well done” left us feeling like there should have been more to wrap things up.

What a privilege to be invited to the Nakatomi Plaza New Year's Eve party: we had an absolute hoot!
The hosting here is the clear winner and it is supreme. Our GM was brilliant and he really made the game next-level fun. The puzzles were decent and more plentiful than we'd expected and - coupled with a lot of fun role-playing, a very inventive use of space and nods to a certain 80's action movie - the whole experience was certainly deserving of five stars.
While there are some 'threatening' moments during the game, due to the storyline, it was all done with good humour and a light-hearted approach.
This was one of our all-time favourites for pure enjoyment. It's a must-play.

Such great fun! Awesome puzzles, good sense of exploration, and an intense ending made this the favourite of our trip! Amazing host too, gave me one of the best in-game GM experiences I've had.

Absolutely exceptional. Not to be missed if you want a fun, playful, interactive experience which keeps you on your toes! The GMing is incredible too. Absolutely worth adding this onto your list. Cannot believe they have only been open since November and this is their first room, how can they possibly beat this exceptional experience?!? We’ve never laughed so much during an ER. Memories to last a lifetime.

At the end of the 80ies, one of the most legendary action movies celebrated its debut and it was the starting signal for further successful sequels: Die Hard.
The attack on the hotel Nakatomi Plaza was the beginning of a wild manhunt of John McClaine, played by the glamorous Bruce Willis.
What will surprise movie fans at this point: The Nakatomi Plaza actually is nowadays a real place and it exists in Barcelona.
