Lichfield Garrick Theatre: Escape Room

Really nice theming and some really interesting and unique puzzle ideas. That being said there are almost too many puzzles for the expected time frame, particularly with only two people. Think this game would benefit from having or two less puzzles, or marketed as 3 - 6 people instead.

Also felt as if the host hadn't been sufficiently trained on how to host the game - we asked for clues on the walkie talkie (another issue that, while understandable for a first time escape room, was clunky and slow), the host often didnt know where we were in the game and would need a detail explanation, then gave clues that were at one point even incorrect.

One point of the game even had a broken mechanism (not being exact for spoilers) where we ended up having to wait a few minutes for someone to bring us down the next piece of the puzzle. Was especially frustrating since we ended up approx a minute off escaping - we had the final code but hadnt yet put it in the lock. There were a few other things that were lying around that we were pretty sure werent red herrings but accidentally left from previous escapes - might need to schedule a bit more time for setting up the room between games.

Overall I did enjoy it, and a good start for a more local escape room, but there's definitely room for improvement.
