Enigmania Duisburg: Sherlock Holmes – Die dunkle Seite

The 19th century wanes, and we stand before a familiar door in Baker Street. There is murder afoot, and we need the employ of Sherlock Holmes to solve it. Alas, we are greeted only with distant screams, a locked door, and a mystery.

Enigmania’s decor starts well outside the room, the entire lobby has a fantasy appeal. Right in the middle of that, almost unassuming, a door opens to the escape room proper. The transition felt so natural.

With Sherlock Holmes - The Dark Side, Enigmania Duisburg has succeeded in creating an atmospheric sequel to the room. In fact, we were curious to see how the story could be told further without repeating it. With exciting, challenging puzzles as well as the storytelling, this has succeeded well. You can't expect any wacky mechanics, but a coherent room with nice effects. Not everyone will like the ending, but who knows how the story about the most famous detective will be retold.
