Welcome to the modern-day “Heist Job”, featuring Vincent Von Tapp, Jeffery Lakeland and you!
It all starts with art, art collectors and rivalry. The local auction house was the setting just a few weeks ago, when two rival art dealers going by the names of Vincent Von Trapp and Jeffery Lakeland last met.
Available to the highest bidder, in this auction, was a very distinguished and highly ornate vase. This beautiful item with its shimmer and design, was uncovered as the Portland Vase. Everyone who viewed it was in awe and envious at just how beautiful it was. Everyone who was in the business, knew that this item was going to be a highly sought after auction piece.
Vincent and Jeffery put in a few light bids for the distinguished item, with a few others having some interest in the art piece. The bids were going up with the starting price being set at £135,000, the first bid came in from the back of the room at £150,000. Vincent cried out £400,000 , £700,000, £950,000 the bids were getting higher!
Jeffery saw that it was Vincent placing the bids and went wild! “£1.4 Million he shouted!”
There were so many gasps in the room. The entire room was watching the battle between the two well known art collectors. In the City these two were well known entrepreneurs.
“£2 Million!” Vincent shouted.
“£2.5 Million!” Jeffery retaliated.
The crowd gasped and everyone was sat with baited breath wondering what the next bids would be. All eyes were on the auctioneer with anticipation.
Everyone in the room knew the importance of this piece and were aware that this was going to be a battle. Not only of minds, but bank balances too.
The bids finally slowed down at £7.8 Million!
The auctioneer shouts “Going once, Going Twice,”
Vincent throws in a final bid of £13.5 Million, Jeffery drops his head to the ground.
The auctioneer shouts out again “Going once, Going Twice, Sold to Vincent Von Trapp for £13.5 Million”
There was a loud rumble of applause from the audience.
Jeffery slips out the auction room unnoticed but the battle is not finished the feud has only just begun.
Not to be outdone, plan B was put into practice by Jeffery, who knew that the next steps in this plan was that he had to hire the greatest thieves in the world to break into Von Trapps home and retrieve this work of art. He wants this item and he is willing to do anything for it.
You have been chosen to be those thieves. Good Luck!

tolles hosting
Overview
This was our first visit to Logic Box with half of our team living just down the road. It’s a new venture with enough room for plenty more rooms in the future and with owner Tom being so passionate about the business, it’s one to keep an eye on.
It’s based in an industrial estate, clearly signposted and with loads of parking. Briefing given by Tom and Covid rules etc (we visited during pandemic) in a nice big reception area. We were given a brief into the room and the heist and were taken to a hatch to crawled through. If you struggle to do this, you can walk in a door. This was a nice added touch as it made it feel like you were creeping into the heist.
Room Impression
As previously mentioned, the entrance into the room was different from others we have done and this added a nice touch into starting the game. A tv is playing with the game overview and news reports. The room was big and clearly lit with lots of space and felt new and fresh with no signs of wear and tear at all. We were told that everything had a purpose, even if it was to trick you. Thankfully, this didn’t cause us to lose our direction at all during the game.
Puzzles
There was a nice added touch of 2 additional games throughout the main game which kept your brain ticking and was a nice added touch. The main aim was to get the heist but the additional games of collecting valuables and another game which we won’t spoil we’re really interesting and although we failed on one mini mission, they were all still fun.
Lots of padlocks in this room and a nice mixture of puzzles thrown in. The end puzzles was enjoyable and the finish gave us a sense of accomplishment.
Games Master Clues
When we needed it, walkie talkies were given ( common heist protocol) and the assists were helpful without giving too much away, the clues were not cryptic either. On the TV screen was the clock countdown throughout the game. We could be seen and heard during the game and if we needed a point in the right direction, the walkie talkies would ping up.
Round Up
We really enjoy visiting Logic Box and being warmly welcomed by Tom. This room was one of our favourites that we have done, it flowed well and it looked fresh and new. The puzzles were nice and challenging without us having to pull our hair out. The added bonus of the mini games throughout gave it a different dimension, which we all enjoyed. We are looking forward to coming back to try Loch Lake which has been recently refreshed. Tom has so much space here for the future and we continue to support him
Lovely hosts who were clearly enthusiasts brought us a well decked out room with a few unique puzzles and bonuses. Good fun but a bit padlock heavy for a new-ish room.

A really strong first game by a new company and we’re sure we’ll be back to check out their other game soon. The Portland Heist had clever puzzles (don’t overcomplicate) and good story and set design. This would be a fun game for both enthusiasts or ‘regular’ people, especially families.
