The QR codes that others have mentioned as the only detractor have been removed! We had a fun, seamless experience.
This was really well done. It was a lot of fun! The hosts are wonderful! Good variety of puzzles. Everything was very thematic.
Some good use of video, and tech. I'm not a huge fan of having to read lots, and use the inventory a lot, so it lost marks for me there, but an enjoyable room and a new take on a casino theme that you see a lot.
Some very neat elements to this room. They’ve built in video and audio components to elevate the experience. An unusually rich narrative with some legitimate twists and turns. Probably would have ranked among my favourites except for two minor irritations. The inventory works on a QR code system, which is fairly unwieldy. And we didn’t love that the GM didn’t speak to us at all. I’m more used to it feeling like a partnership—we lost that element of the fun with the totally silent avatar. Nonetheless a solid room with a good story, so very much worth doing.
We played remotely and it was my favorite remote experience to date. I loved that they had a plot that was fully part of their puzzles and that there were a few novel interactions that I hadn't seen before. You can tell that the creators really cared about story when crafting their game. I'd recommend this especially to escape room owners looking for inspiration in game design with story - there's a fun element at the end that I enjoyed - and can only imagine how fun it would be in person!
The downside, as mentioned by others was the QR codes that are used to help you see items up close. It got a little hard to keep track of what we had seen.
Lots of QR codes to scan, which is kind of fun if you like that. Lots of campy funny background story to go into. The intro interaction is long and didn't pay off for me as well as it did for others -- I kept on expecting to go back there. Decent story beats.
We were challenged and Loved it!
This escape room is different than others we have been too. Most of the puzzles were unknown to us. We loved the variety of puzzles and decoding. The story line fit the tasks and solutions.
We were a group of 8 adults with 0-6 rooms previous experience. All of us enjoyed the room and talked a lot in the days that followed.
This is by far our best online escape room we have played. We did not play a lot yet. But this one will will take you to the next level..
We are still thinking about it, and how much excitement it gave us.

Casino Mortale is a story-driven game, and that's made clear from some time before your actual booking slot, thanks to in-character emails and other details provided to introduce the story and its characters. It's a somewhat convoluted story, where the core mission is straightforward (infiltrate the manager's office and find a set of deeds that will establish ownership of the titular casino), but with a cast of several different characters with interlocking relationships and ambiguous motives.

Overall we couldn’t fault the Casino Mortale experience, the virtual gameplay worked flawlessly, and it really kept the whole team busy with so much to see & solve. Obviously this brilliant escape experience would have been even more exciting to play in person (especially something involving lasers), but due to the location abroad most of us would never be able to experience this escape room anyway. This virtual game is a fantastic opportunity to do so, and see the creativity and uniqueness of the puzzles they have to offer.
Casino Mortale convinces with a really neatly worked out storyline, tasks and room design, which are 100% subordinate to it. Here you can see that the owners have enlisted the help of a professional author. However, Casino Mortale is aimed more at a special target group and in our opinion is not suitable for everyone. Unfortunately, the element of burglary doesn't come into play too much, but puts more emphasis on detective work.
