A game of two halves - the first is standard escape room fare, and the second is a little more immersive. I enjoyed the first room overall although one puzzle really frustrated us everything else flowed quite well.
I really enjoyed the second part, but as previous reviewers have said, it is quite cramped, so go with a smaller group if you can. The way that they've managed to use an original feature of a building as an escape room reminded me a lot of the former London underground rooms in Kentish Town and Cave Escape, which are, of course, also in Nottingham.
Bit disappointed with the last part which looked really cool but in reality you were only there for moments before heading on. Could have done with another puzzle or two there - although admittedly it is a bit of a squeeze.
Fab hosting.
Accessibility: I usually tag an accessibility note at the end of my reviews as I'm not the most dexterous due to a chronic illness. You need a decent degree of dexterity in this room due to a couple of physical challenges. They aren't skippable either; everybody has to do them. I'd been forewarned by friends who had previously played and taken some painkillers beforehand, and with some help from my ever-patient partner, I was able to negotiate them (bar one of my fingernails, which, alas, perished) and was super-chuffed I had.
A fun space to explore (and cramped at points, which was fun for a pair, but if your team is more than two or three people god knows how you'd find it). The puzzles were fair and when we missed details they were entirely our fault. The room's reputation probably doesn't do it any favours - it set an expectation that wasn't quite met - but I recommend it.
We love an active escape room and the fun little surprises of Robin of Locksley. It seems like a small gen-1 escape room at first but theres a few mechanical elements which did really surprise us. We wish the game was longer but maybe thats just because its more of a kids game. Be warned though that this game is filthy (not sure if its intentional or just negligence). Do not wear nice clothes and take hand sanitiser with you!
In our talk after the game we all felt this game needed some more puzzles. However, what you do in this game is great fun and the expansive set is great! It's very worth playing.
I can understand why this room gets a lot of praise! the scene setting by our GM Willow was brilliant and the room just keeps on giving. A great variety of puzzles, an unusual setting and a definitive ending make this a must play!
A fun escape room experience although definitely on the easy side. Start in a living room that doesn't seem realistic of the Robin Hood period (there was also a landline phone randomly sat on a table). Some nice transitions but this is an introductory level experience to escape rooms with no story development and a shortage of engaging puzzles.

I narrowly missed out on the chance to play Lockskey the first time round, when it briefly opened and then closed again due to problems with the underground location (since when it's been completely revamped, so I believe is safe to play even if you did the original version).
Robin Hood is an obvious theme for a venue based in Nottingham, and I'd have expected something in bright primary colours with an archery motif. However, Escapologic's take is a lot more archaeological. The setting is mode...
One of my favourite types of Escape Room is a quest, where the goal isn’t exactly to escape or to solve a world crisis, but one that takes you on a journey
On the 16th December we found ourselves back to take on another of Escapologics devious escape rooms, this time the very fitting for Nottingham "Robin of Lockskey". Our roles in the game were to save the Sheriff of Nottingham from a gang of kidnappers. The team before us was given 24 hours to find the iconic ransom of a golden arrow, they however have failed and left us with an hour to complete the job. We were now in the private office of the Sheriff ready to go on the adventure and search, How did we do? Well, read on to find out.
