Escape Room In A Box: The Werewolf Experiment

NOTE: We played the original black and red version of this game with metal tins, not the Mattel version. 

Absolutely loved the time we spent playing this game. A clever mix of puzzles, activities and a lovely payoff. Everything you need contained in the box and multiple uses of some items made for a very enjoyable experience.

Productionwise this mass market game deliveres a great value for the money, a nice and simple story, very simple rules, no need for an app and lots of stuff to do and find to open the plastic locks. 

The bad this about this game is the quality of the puzzles(they are by no mean bad) they are made in the early day og escape rooms and contains crosswords and the like some that are quite hard for mon native english speakers(when denied access to looking spelling of a word up, one of the rules is no electronic devices)

But even with this issue and a puzzle we just didn’t understand even when we looked at the solution afterward, we had a great time

Back in the day, I Kickstarted this and was over the moon at the thought of an actual escape room game with real locks you could play in your home.  This box is absolutely colored with nostalgia for me for that reason.  But present-day, with an abundance of mass-market and indie escape boxes, this box is...fine.  Mostly simple paper puzzles.  Good for them for breaking ground at the time! 

Nifty and well produced, with some cute flavor text. Includes a number of physical locks and boxes. Highly vulnerable to puzzle-swarm; enthusiasts might consider a smaller team.
