The year is 1942, World War 2 rages on. You are an elite spy deep undercover at the operations bunker of the infamous splinter cell group known as SPYKE. The group has reached an agreement with the mysterious Magnus, an aerospace engineer, and he has agreed to develop a new super weapon that could change the tides of war and leave devastation in its wake.
After months on a covert operation an assault on the base has left you free to finally gather the intel needed on the inner workings of this weapon and ascertain the technology for the allied forces.
Your only line of communication is a fellow agent who has been placed amongst SPYKE’s ranks for this very moment, they will be on hand to assist you throughout the mission but must do so without blowing their cover.
This could truly be the turning point of the war; The Allied forces, the Resistance and even the fate of the world, rests on your shoulders.

ziemlich schwierig
This is an example of Escapologic building a room around a unique space that they have and using it to their advantage. This WW2 room has different sections that will get your step count up for the day, especially with the amazing staircase!
We hindered ourselves by misplacing a key object in a silly place (we were young and naive, okay?) but solved it without assistance with quick thinking and use of a hair clip that Gemma luckily had.
Overall, a great room with an impressive ending and an on theme clue system that you shouldn't miss.
Fun WW2 themed room that starts off with arguably it's most difficult puzzle, don't get disheartened if you seem to stall straight away but stick with it. Some great tropes on show with a couple of clever a-ha moments with a superb ending, definitely worth your time.
Tempted up to Leicester by a remarkably generous summer discount for returning customers, I finally tried out the first three games at Escapologic’s new branch, starting with Operation Magnus, which places you in a World War 2 bunker trying to foil an enemy super-weapon attack.
Stopping the Nazis is a tried and tested escape room theme, but I was interested to note that in this game the enemy is an organisation called Spyke. I have no problem with games using Nazi symbology (as long as they’re ...
The most wonderful thing about this room is how well they’ve themed the room. For starters, you really are in a deep underground bunker. I’m not sure what the original use of the building was, but we emerged into our escape room into a strangely dark, slightly musty tiled bunker space. Nope, I don’t think this is just really creative set design, the room feels incredibly genuine. It seems so funny to mention it, but I loved how dusty the space was too. Real nooks and crannies, I even think I spotted a spider.
World War Two is one of those Escape Room themes that can seem a little, well, old.
It’s a fantastically themed room, with a few hidden surprises and a great ending but you’re not always clear what you should be doing.
Operation Magnus has certainly made it’s way into my top 10 escape rooms. The game offers a level of difficulty that doesn’t tax too much but replaces it with ladles of fun. There’s nothing like the feeling of escaping full of adrenaline from such a fun filled adventure. It’s one of the those rooms that makes you want to dive back into another game straight away and play more. Luckily for us, that exactly what we had planned!
This multilevel bunker escape game looks fantastic but left us a little bit lost on a few occasions with clues that were camouflaged a little too well!
