After a massive earthquake in Mariana Trench in the Pacific ocean 250 miles east of Guam, the research team of the underwater Oceanographic station VITHOS (VERTICAL INSTITUTE of TRENCH HOME OBSERVATORY SEA-LIFE) at the edge of the Mariana Fore-Arc are trying to overcome the shock. Just then, strange lights, eerie sounds and weird creatures emerge from the depths of the Abyss.
Communication via DMI (Direct Messaging Interface ) starts out of nowhere by strange characters on the screen that make no sense or seem unreadable ... What is the message the strange creatures are trying to convey?
Why is communication with the outside world suddenly lost?
Oceanographic ship USNS PATHFINDER approaches, and, with a manned bathyscaph attempts to solve the mystery of lost communication with the underwater station. You, as members of the mission, are asked to investigate what happened and help rescue the researchers.

Taking its inspiration from 1989 film "The Abyss", this game sends you to the bottom of the ocean.. Once again the scenery and props are excellent and completely in keeping with the theme, there's a couple of superb reveals but it let down by the ending, or rather the lack of one, the game just ends and doesn't really tell you anything. After such a strong room it definitely ended with a whimper and that probably makes this room the weak link at the venue (but still worth your time).

Avissos is a deep sea adventure: deep in the Marianas Trench, the scientists at an underwater laboratory have mysteriously vanished, and you've been tasked with discovering their fate. As an extra complication, seismic readings indicate that there's a major earthquake due in about an hour, giving you a time limit on your investigations.
The underwater research station is suitably claustrophobic, and has been put together with excellent attention to detail. With metal surfaces and strewn debris ...
Abyssi wärmer könnte es sein in der Unterwasserstation. Ich habe gefroren. Ein relativ leichter ER für 2-3 Personen. Es gibt ein paar nette technische Spielereien, alles in allem kann Avissos einem Vergleich mit 20.000 L.U.T.S. bei Escaped aber nicht standhalten.
