We really enjoyed this - the room was immersive, we loved the multiple stages, the creepy setting. The volume of puzzles was challenging - glad we had four players!
One of my fav rooms to date.
This escape room has a great spooky atmosphere and a thrilling start. The use of the space is nice. Some of the puzzles were a little long but fun to solve in a team.
Some of the puzzles in this room didn't make sense. There were tiny symbols on the padlocked drawers which gave you the clues to solve them but they were very small and not obvious at all. Our games host was lovely but not very attentive when we were asking for help and overall we felt quite frustrated by the game
An ok room ... not heaps to solve but the atmosphere was pretty good, and our team enjoyed the flow of this game more than the other 2 games we played at the same venue. The imagery and advertising of this game definitely seemed quite different to the delivery (the poster is of a guy digging graves - not a ghost in sight - yet the whole game is about ghost hunting) which we found quite odd.
Hosts felt like they were just going through the motions no real enthusiasm or small talk when we arrived. Room was ok, but dark in places and unable to use our own phone torch which was frustrating as we couldn’t see some of the locks! Few things felt a bit pointless, and another heavy padlocked room

The premise of The Governor is that you're a group of ghost hunters imprisoned in an abandoned prison by an ex-prisoner - thereby managing to combine no fewer than three of the classic escape room themes in an unexpected fusion of haunted house, prison break and homicidal maniac. That blend allowed the tone to range from sly humour to some genuine creepiness without ever feeling incongruous.
