Having (grudgingly) played all the City Mazes' escape rooms, there is a pattern that they are all quite disappointing. It is run by teens, who have little or no interest, they don't know the games, and read clues from a book, not always understanding what they are saying.

This game relied heavily on memory, and there was nothing to write things down on, the second part was frustrating and difficult, with no clear way of knowing if you had right items/codes/clues to progress and risking major back tracking as a result.

Having participated in over 25 escape rooms with my family, I can honestly say that the City Maze escape rooms are bottom of the pile.

Disappointing time for £75

If you're reading these reviews in order, you'll have noticed that I wasn't hugely impressed with City Mazes. Entering their fourth and allegedly hardest room I thought things were looking up. A review of four games at City Mazes in Oxford, none of which I'd recommend. While there were interesting moments in some of the games, they were easily outweighed by major flaws.
Our first two experiences at City Mazes were average games each marred by one huge problem, so I’m happy to say that the third and final room we played at least manages not to have some huge cock-up in it. It also has two pretty good puzzles. Unfortunately those two puzzles are literally all it has.
