After a wild night out in Birmingham, you’re desperate to make it back to the safety of Shrewsbury. The last train—the prestigious Shrewsbury Express—is your only hope, but disaster has struck! Absolutely brilliant from start to finish, this game nails immersion in a totally unique way. The storytelling was next-level, with some genius moments we’re still talking about. The puzzles were clever without being frustrating, and the performance element added real magic. Easily one of the most memorable and well-executed games we’ve ever played.
As stated in previous reviews, this room is an absolutely crazy experience! You really can never guess what is going to be revealed next.
Its hard to discuss the main elements of The Shrewsbury Express without providing spoilers but let’s just say they have some very unique puzzles for the UK as well as a method to deliver a code for a lock that is certainly a first! The GM’s stay fantastically in character throughout and aren’t afraid for a bit of interaction!
All the above elements really make you forget you’re in the middle of a shopping center, this room exceeded all expectations and is a must do if you’re in the area.
We have not laughed this much in a room, for a long time. Great hosting and a great time.

What a ride! We’ve ticked off a fair few rooms across the Midlands (Telford, Birmingham, Stoke, you name it), but this one had vibes.
Theming was spot on, puzzles were clever without being head-melting, and there were moments that genuinely made us all laugh (and scream a bit, not gonna lie). We’ve done harder rooms, sure — but for story, atmosphere and sheer fun factor, this one’s right up there.
Massive shoutout to our Game Master too, who absolutely nailed the balance between helpful and hands-off. Top-tier hosting.
If you’re into immersive, story-driven games with a few surprises up their sleeve — this is one to do. Already eyeing up our next one at LevelUp!
What a game! Definitely not one for the faint-hearted – this was easily the most interactive experience I’ve ever played, and I was all in for it. The opening sequence was brilliantly crafted, and I loved how it kicked off with such a clever start. The puzzles were a solid mix of tech and padlocks, with some fresh ideas I hadn’t seen before. As this is our more local room, the team mentioned that a few puzzles had changed since Christmas, though some core features remained the same. The whole thing was hilarious and full of surprises – we never knew what was coming next. Huge thanks to Colin!
