This is part two of Diorama’s investigation trilogy, picking up where The Vandermist Dossier left off, on the trail of the missing Abigail Vandermist. You can play it as a stand-alone game - though that would be a curious choice, since it would be a shame to miss out on the first part of the trilogy. You’re more likely to come to it having already played part 1, in which case you’ll likely need little encouragement to want to play this one.
As before, the quality of the components is impressive...

So I was very unsurprised when I opened up The Medusa Report and immediately fell in love. Then, the game only got better and better as I played it. With each new reveal, each exciting detail, and each twist I thought to myself “Gosh, our industry needs a ‘Game of the Year’ award, so Diorama can win it” and I stand by that.

I loved The Medusa Report. Every twist and turn was another satisfying reveal, another “OMG” moment. Diorama Games has perfected these satisfying puzzle mechanics that simultaneously make you feel clever and appreciate the cleverness of the designer – a rare thing in puzzle games. You’re going to want to back this game on Kickstarter to experience it for yourself.

After thoroughly enjoying both The Vandermist Dossier and The Medusa Report, I cannot wait to see what the third game in the series has in store.

The Medusa Report's thoughtful fusion of narrative and puzzle play demonstrate the best of what the hobby is capable of.
