Very last minute booking welcomed by a lovely host - David. We love different and tactile ways of solving puzzles and locking things away and escape plan does this so well. We often find ourselves spending as much time in awe of these little contraptions as the puzzles themselves!. This game has a fairly unique story and some clever puzzles and mechanics, with moments of fun and humour and some great touches all topped off with great and welcoming hosting. Absolutely recommended.
This was the room I was most excited for, especially after hearing so many glowing reviews and noticing the higher pricing, which naturally set my expectations high. However, surprisingly, it ended up being the room I enjoyed the least. That’s not to say it’s a bad game – far from it. For many, the time machine theme will be a real treat, especially if it’s their first encounter with it. For me, though, it felt a little familiar (reminding me of a certain game in Nottingham).
That said, there was one standout feature – a unique puzzle box that I’ve never seen before, which was a nice touch and something I really appreciated. It’s always great to encounter something new in an escape room.
The hype surrounding escape rooms can sometimes be a double-edged sword. When expectations are set so high, it can be difficult for any game to fully live up to them. While the experience was still enjoyable and well-crafted, it didn’t quite leave the lasting impression I’d hoped for. Ultimately, it’s a solid game – just not as groundbreaking or memorable as I had anticipated.
Even though this game is a step away from the theme of WW2 all of the Escape Plan trademarks are still there - beautiful mechanical puzzles, great theming, story and clever puzzles! Such a fun game and lots of clever moments throughout. Thoroughly enjoyed!
Charming, delightful, stylish, original... a joyful romp through time and space between two beautifully-realised locations, accessed by a fun central gimmick.
As we've come to expect from Escape Plan, it also had very attentive, friendly hosting, top quality design and craftsmanship on all the bespoke wooden props and puzzles.
We all left with broad smiles on our faces - a delight.
I was really looking forward to returning to Escape Plan to try their latest game Pushed for Time after playing 'The Adventure Begins' last summer and I was not disappointed. On arrival, we were greeted by Sarah, who was actually our games master last time and surprisingly she remembered us! This is very different to the other games on the premises that are all ww2 themed but I very much enjoyed it. The theming and attention to detail throughout was great and the use of the time travel machine is an exciting addition to the experience. In terms of puzzles there are a mix of padlocks, tech and tactile/mechanical puzzles, so this all provided variety as we worked through the game. The mechanical puzzles were something I praised in our last game so I was pleased to see these had been included once again. The storyline was a fun one to play as we had a couple of objectives to complete as well as simply 'escaping'.
I really appreciate the thought that goes into the gameplay here at Escape Plan and would recommend anyone paying a visit.
Loved this room particularly due to the great hosting from owner Brendan. He made our kids (10 and 7 years old) feel so welcome and even added extra challenges just for them. The signposting at Escape Plan is great, ensures you are on track and no time wasting. We ended up 7th on the overall leaderboard for this as we didn't need anywhere near the 75 minute limit (it was very new when we played so fully expect to drop off the board soon 😆)
This is the best executed time travel escape room I’ve done; I loved it.
The puzzles were unique and extremely enjoyable. We struggled with one puzzle in the first part but then everything clicked into place relatively quickly afterwards.
There was a great story with clear objectives.
The craftsmanship was wonderful and even better once we’d heard the story behind the construction of the room.
The star of the show is the Time Machine. I don’t want to give anything away but you might want to take your dancing shoes along…
A solid four and a half stars but I gave the five stars because of Charis’s superb hosting.

Overall, this is a really stand-out escape room experience. I’ve always been impressed with Escape Plan, and they’re usually the first company I recommend to visitors in London, but this time I felt like they really outdid themselves in making an escape room experience both serious and challenging and utterly fun and silly.
