Printable Escapes: Gatekeeper

The graphics really bought this beautiful Victorian home to life. We enjoyed the scenery changes from the library to the hallway to the study and more! Each time we "unlocked" a door with the correct code, we're eager to see where it'll take us next. For enthusiasts, the puzzles might be on the easier side but we made it into a fun experience over Zoom. Each of us took on a different accent (mine was probably the worst) and read the narrative in each of the chapters out loud. It was also a great way to practice group communication over the internet when we had to describe shapes or where something was located. Print-n-cut games definitely has a particular fan base and we found our perfect team of four!

Because of the light hearted nature of the game with it’s bright colours, warm vibes, and magical plotline, I’d recommend this game for families and kids in particular – and I think it would be a big hit in this group! I really enjoyed it, but after a whole lockdown of printing out play at home games I think my printer might be on it’s very last legs these days. Worth it though to see the bright colours of The Gatekeeper in all their glory.

We really enjoyed playing The Gatekeeper. It’s a beautiful game with a nice storyline and a good selection of puzzles. This is one I’d say is a good fit for families or a couple having an ‘off the grid’ time away.

We found it a little easy, but we enjoyed the ride. If you’re after something with the look and feel of a hidden object game, but with better puzzles, then check out The Gatekeeper.
