It was fun.  It didn’t seem like it needed a GM, but they were kind of the saving grace.

Played the updated version of the Pyramid and the puzzles haven't gotten any easier, but more team interaction is now allowed. Great hosting and lots of fast pace puzzling to keep the adrenaline levels high. Great fun.

Lockdown led to a flurry of innovation in online entertainment, and Last Pyramid is part of the small escape room adjacent genre of team challenge/puzzle game - The Crystal Maze remains the obvious point of comparison.

The GM was in character the entire time and with added humor, this is definitely the type of game that someone who enjoys game shows would book to have a fun night with friends/family. One thing that we were hoping to see was a bit more organization for the show itself. At times we felt that the GM has to write down our score and calculate the total while maneuvering other functions of getting us through the various rooms and check on time. At times we were rushed into one area but would've rather had more time there or less in other places. We didn't feel like the control was in our hands. Perhaps the scoring could be added in as a feature that could be automated on the shared screen so the players could see how many seconds they've gained after each round. The GM probably should just be the game host and not the tech on the background as well. The idea and graphics of this game was great and with some added tweaks of the organization and hosting, we can see the potential for future developments!

When all was said and done, with our brains every so slightly frazzled, its safe to say that we had an absolute blast and left with smiles on our faces. The combination of a great host, some very innovative games, some cool use of audio and visual elements, all add up to experience which we will not be forgetting in a hurry!

Overall, Ultimate Quest have created a unique gameplay experience for unbelievable value. A 90 minute virtual experience with a live host, multiple minigames and did we mention, possible real prizes? Whilst the prizes depend on how well you do in your final mission, it is great for the chance to win something back in an experience like this. A phenomenal virtual experience.
