This was the first online game I played online when Covid first hit (last year) and it still stands out in my mind. Mayor Rob was fantastic and really made me feel like I had a better time playing online than I would have in person. Really cool features for the inventory system as well!
One of the earliest escape room adaptations during COVID, this one pioneered new ground when it came to letting players enter their own codes and push their own buttons. The narratives tend to be a bit convoluted, but who cares? The interface still makes it feel like you're there: you get a moment of glee whenever you press a button and something happens thousands of miles away.
Bit disappointed with this one after all the hype. I found the inventory system quite clunky and the avatar quite unhelpful / slowing us down a bit. The theme also seemed a bit contrived just to use the cool pun for a room.
Puzzles were ok and some were very different.
The original baseline for 2020 remote games. I'm honestly still in awe of the degree to which this "nothing special in person" game was elevated through its remote adaptation.
As the first remote avatar room that we did, this set the bar pretty high. My favorite aspect was the interactive nature of the inventory system! Mayor Rob was fun, and the story and set were both quite cute and well done. A nice variety of puzzles, and family-friendly. We had some issues with the initial booking, but Rob provided great customer service to resolve the issue and was also very responsive to some minor suggestions we made after the game. A great experience overall.
The crème de la crème of online games. Excellent GM, really good (interactive!) inventory system. An all around a fun game.
A fun story, a great GM and fun puzzles. The set's pretty although has some rough edges and the use of searching felt a little frustrating at times for an online game. Impressively, there are some codes that you solve remotely which I felt was a nice touch.
The GM as the Mayor of the town adds something a little bit different to this game so I'd highly recommend you get into the theme if you head along - it's not necessary but it will add to the experience.
This game worked super well in the online format, probably better
than if we had played it in real life. The gamemaster was fun and helped
us all get settled. The inventory system allowed us to all look at
different things concurrently even though the camera was only pointing
one way. We had lots of fun!
This game has a very slick inventory interface that improvement my enjoyment of the game in no small measure. Mayor Rob is also a ton of fun to interact with. It was so easy to fall in love with this game!
This was our second remote play room. The level of interaction was higher than the other remote room which was a very nice feature. This also acted as an inventory system. Ideally, I would have done this on a dual monitor system to allow you to fully view and interact with the items and still view the room. This allowed you do participate in more than just telling the GM what to do. GM was good and kept things light and fun.
An "authentic play experience" that replicates a classic escape room, including room searching. Includes a nice inventory system and multiple camera views. Like many live remote rooms, the room itself is a relatively simple gen-1 experience.

I'd been hearing that Rock Ave Escape had come up with a bunch of "little touches" that made remote play even better, so I decided we'd better start with them, to see the full potential of avatar-based gameplay. Indeed, there is much more to this game than "Mayor Rob" walking around with his camera...
