the main issue with this is not so much the puzzles, but the player count(3-8 suggested) the game is linear, meaning everyone should look at the same puzzle all the time. played with 2-3 players I can see this is a fine little game.

Similar in style & presentation to Stargazer's Manor. All paper & cardboard with some string. A bit less good than Stargazer's -- some bottlenecks in the middle and a puzzle genre that overstays its welcome, the story is a bit less engaging, the end a bit anticlimactic. Still a solid production.

Recommend 2-4p max. Can be reset if you're careful not to mangle anything. (Reset instructions are on the ThinkFun site.)

There are now several boxed escape games on the market, but this is the first one our group had tried, so we weren't entirely sure what to expect. The first and most important question is: does it work as a substitute for an escape room? The answer, for me at least is - kinda.
Naturally, the game is limited by what it can fit into a box, and by keeping the costs to a level that allows mass production. Despite that, the game includes some puzzles that were unexpectedly and pleasingly physical. O...
ThinkFun's second escape room in a box was good, somewhat brief, fun but suffered in comparison to their first outing and at times felt a little repetitive.

It is the year 1913. You've entered a contest and won an all-expense-paid stay at Foxcrest Retreat. Dr. Gravely is well known for his spa treatments to improve one's vitality. This all seems to good to be true...

ThinkFun is back with another impossibly small box that – once opened in the comfort of your own home – magically expands into a multi-room immersive story-driven Escape Game adventure!
We particularly like that you had a choice near the end of the game which led to different outcomes. There is also a solution provided for if you fail to escape in the allotted 90 minutes.
Clever puzzles and impressive component quality make for a solid game, but make sure you spend some time setting the atmosphere
