About what I expected although less scares than anticipated. Meh puzzles that didn't really involve the whole team and we then needed to wait afterwards for the other groups to finish. Decisions / actions throughout made no difference to the narrative and somewhat killed the immersion - it was otherwise quite an impressive set. Acting was good but not very much of it. We got a decent groupon discount cutting the price down, but at full price this is way overpriced for what you get. An enjoyable enough experience for fans of immersive horror and the Saw francise, not one for people who enjoy puzzles
Not really an escape room, but a subpar SAW interactive walk-through experience with poor, broken puzzles and not really any good scares/live actors. Overpriced too.
I was expecting an escape room-style adventure, but what I got was something more akin to a large-scale interactive exhibit. The experience lasted about 70 minutes, with about 25-30 minutes of that dedicated to escape room-style puzzles. The setting was impressive and immersive, with plenty of details that fans of the film would appreciate. The live actors were also decent enough, although there were more security staff than actors on hand. The three escape room-style puzzles were a mixed bag. One was illogical and didn't really have a satisfying ending, one was a typical maze puzzle but decent, and the third was just following scripted prompts. Working together with complete strangers can be hit or miss. It didn't work well in the first room, but we all worked better together in the other two. There were about 6 or 8 of us in our group. Overall, I would recommend this experience to fans of the film series who are looking for something immersive. However, if you're an escape room enthusiast, you'll probably be disappointed.
A little nonsensical in places trying to figure out what to do in incredibly strict time limits, but fun overall as an immersive experience... although quite pricey!
I did the Spiral route. Luckily nobody had booked in with us but this was very lucky - usually you are put into groups of 6 but we got to do it as a 2. We would have enjoyed this a whole lot less if that hadn't been the case as in some parts we did share space with others and we weren't really able to do anything. The acting was good but not enough of it. One attempt at a scare was just laughable. The escape rooms themselves are way too difficult - I've done a fair few and they just didn't make sense particularly the end one, and there was no satisfaction as it was irrelevant whether you passed or failed. For one puzzle / choice we had to make I literally have no idea what it did. One room was great, logical, challenging and fun, but only because there were 2 of us. Without giving too much away it was like a maze. For the others, the theming was great and the similarity to the Saw films, however the puzzles and horror just weren't up to scratch.
