This was my 100th game and was a lot of fun. Liked the 2nd half of the game more as it felt more logical what to do but the first half was still good fun, just a bit searchy. Particularly liked one puzzle involving the GM and thought that tech was generally well integrated. Another tense finale which gets the heart rate up

Despite the name this is nothing to do with the 1997 movie starring Russell Crowe. The L.A. stands for Lock Academy, the detective school that provides a common setting for all this venue's games, and your task is... to relax in the Academy's recreation room as a well-earned rest. You might speculate that there's more to it than that, but you'll have to play it to find out what.

Similarly to their game Heist of the Century, L.A. Confidential kicks off with a specific task that you're instructed...

A review of the three games at Lock Academy, Paris. Revolt was my favourite, with an unusual theme, fun puzzles and an experience that improved with each step forward. LA Confidential had a relatively mundane start but improved significantly and had one of the most stressful, frantic (and enjoyable!) finishes I've experienced in a room. Tres Cher Lock is a game that's worth playing, but it's merely good in comparison to the other two - a strong start in what on the face of it looked to be a pretty ordinary room wasn't quite matched by the end sequence.
